@Trvljunky's Top Tips
"The Dutch are serious bike riders. It may seem like the thing to do but take time to know the local bike rules and courtesies. Also, make sure you are comfortable riding in very busy settings."
No so cliche!
"While it may seem a touristy thing to do, embrace the known local specialities! They are an important part of local economies and, they are famous for a reason!"
What do you love most about Amsterdam?
"Slow down and enjoy cafe culture! No matter the time of day, take some time to relax, sip a coffee or local brew, and enjoy the moment like the locals do."
Benefits of a tour guide for Amsterdam
"Getting out of urban areas and into the countryside and/or coast. Dutch cities are wonderful but so are the rural/coastal towns. Tours can introduce you to somewhere you may not think of visiting."
Are there really windmills in Holland?
"Yes! Get out of urban areas to take in the iconic view of a windmill in the Dutch countryside."

What is so special about Giethoorn?
"It's often referred to as the "Venice of the Netherlands" because of its many canals and waterways. In fact, there are no roads in this village and the only way to get around is by boat, bike or foot!"
What do you love most about Giethoorn?
"Adding to its charm are the charming thatched-roof houses that line the canals. These picturesque dwellings are adorned with vibrant flowers, creating a postcard-perfect setting."
A 'MUST' whilst you're there?
"- Canal cruise - Visit the museum - Shop and dine My favourite thing is finding a quiet spot by the water, enjoying a picnic, or capturing the beautiful landscapes with my camera."
Favourite time of year to visit Giethoorn
"Spring and summer would be the best times to visit this place. However, travel responsibly and respect the village and its residents while enjoying your time in Giethoorn."

I have a deep passion for discovering the hidden gems of the world. I am constantly seeking out new and exciting destinations, and I thrive on the adventure of exploring roads less travelled

Favourite time of year to visit Keukenhof
"Keukenhof is open for just eight weeks a year, the tulips in the Netherlands don’t bloom all year round. The best time of year to go is definitely April when the sun is shining!"
Must pack items for Keukenhof
"• Comfy shoes! • A sun hat • If you're not already on a tour, purchase your entrance ticket ahead of time • Free map at the entrance to help you navigate the extensive park • Lunch to have a picnic on the benches (they do sell food as well!) "
A 'MUST' whilst you're there?
"Getting lost in the different gardens! Once you enter Keukenhof, you are surrounded by 7 million different flowers. It’s hard not to enjoy everything you see."
What do you love most about Keukenhof?
"Along with visiting the garden, you should do a Keukenhof tulips bike tour (if it's not already included in your tour). Cycling when the colourful fields are in bloom is one of the most spectacular experiences!"
