Tour Overview

Campania is certainly one of the morphologically most varied regions of the peninsula and, for this reason, this land is able to offer music, sea, fun and nature, but also history and culture. Another pride of this region is the dairy produce, with the famous buffalo mozzarella, masterfully produced. In this glimpse of paradise, jagged and inaccessible coasts alternate with small and hidden beaches that give life to a unique landscape. The most inaccessible areas today are transformed by a series of terraces sloping down to the sea, used to grow citrus fruits, olive trees and vines. And how can we forget the natural endowments that dominate this region: Vesuvius, gloomy and mysterious, loved for its beauty and feared for its power. Those who choose to spend their holidays in Campania are spoilt for choice thanks to the many opportunities offered by this region, but the sites recognized as UNESCO World Heritage Sites(Pompeii, Herculaneum, Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi Coast, Naples) certainly deserve a visit.

It is forbidden to leave Ischia, without having a bath on the Cartaromana beach, among the black rocks of volcanic rock and where it is possible to take hot baths in the natural basins that release the hot thermal springs. Practically a thermal bath in seawater, a unique experience!

The area is also loved by divers who can reconstruct the ancient history of Aenaria in the depths of the water; here, at about 7 meters deep, the remains of a lead and tin foundry were discovered.
The surrounding waters including gulfs of Gaeta, Naples and Pozzuoli are both rich and healthy, providing a habitat for around 7 species of whales and dolphins including gigantic fin and sperm whales.

MENU ': Based on the revisiting of recipes by the ancient Roman gastronomy, Marco Gaio Apicio.
The best way to experience one of the oldest wine countries in the world is to visit in person, and sample the simple yet bold wines...straightforward and perfect to pair with any meal.
A visit here is both a pleasure and a journey of discovery: explore the vineyard and gardens and savour a heaping plate of spaghetti with tomato sauce — one of humblest yet most delicious dishes in history.
Once we finish our lunch, we will continue to Pompeii, where we will meet our local guide.
Pompeii (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), along with Herculaneum and many villas in the surrounding area, was buried under 4 to 6 m (13 to 20 ft) of
Volcanic ash and pumice in the eruption of Vesuvius in AD 79.
Largely preserved under the ash, the excavated city, offered a unique snapshot of Roman life, frozen at the moment it was buried, and an extraordinarily detailed insight into the everyday life of its inhabitants
It was a wealthy town, enjoying many fine public buildings and luxurious private houses with lavish decorations, but left all the history for our local guide.
After the visit of Pompeii we will move towards to our Hotel, located in the city of Salerno.
Check-in and time for dinner and relax in front of the Mediterranean Sea.

Mozzarella is the most important among the several cheeses that are made only in a few specific provinces Italy and are based on pure buffalo milk.
Buffaloes arrived in Southern Italy around the year 1000 A.D. brought by Norman kings who created buffalo farms in Campania bringing the animals from Sicily, where they had been introduced by the Arabs. The first historical traces of this cheese dates back to the 12th century when it was called
“mozza” or “provatura”.
They were widespread in the wet areas of the Sele Valley, the most important and famous one, with about the 80% of the production.
The production of PDO buffalo mozzarella from “Mozzarella di bufala Campana” takes place in the provinces of Salerno and Caserta alone. It is characterised with a porcelain white colour and possesses a delicate flavour and typical sweet smell.
Produced fresh every day, it can be cut off by hand or by shaping machines that produce pieces of predetermined weight, from 10 grams for: perlina (beads), cigliegina (cherry), bocconcino (morsel) up to three kilograms for:
trecce (braids) and nodini (knots).
We will have a private guided tour of the farm where the whole making process will be explained with a tasting at the end overlooking the buffaloes, witch is much more than a common excursion … In this places you can taste history and contact with an incredible environment, where nature and man live in perfect symbiosis.
Specialised personnel, directly the operators of the farm, are
here to answer all your questions and curiosities.
Finish our visit to the Mozarella Farm, we will make our move to Pasteum, a perfectly preserved city of Magna Grecia.
The ruins of Paestum are famous for their three ancient Greek Temples, dating from about 600 to 450 BC, which are in a very good state of preservation.
The city walls and amphitheatre are largely intact, and the bottom of the walls of many other structures remain, as well as paved roads.
The whole ancient city of Paestum covers an area of approximately 120 hectares. Only the 25 hectares that contain the three main temples and the other main buildings have been excavated.
The other 95 hectares remain on private land and have not been studied. The city is surrounded by defensive walls that still stand.

Great company! I called them to ask for a customized private wine tour in the Chianti wine region and with no hesitation they delivered! We not only got to book a driver but he was also a qualified sommelier that shared great stories during the day. Overall great service for the buck! Thank you for probably the best tour ever!

We were so fortunate to find Angel and Enotropea Tours to fully immerse ourselves in Chianti Castles history and its extraordinary wines. Angel secured us by private car from our Hotel in Florence. We visited Castello di Meleto, Castello di Ama with a superb lunch pair with our wines and Castello di Monsanto. The history and the wines were memorable and a once in lifetime intimate tasting experience with the owner of the winery and Angel. Then, our day concluded with a visit a real castle in the middle of Chianti Classico area overlooking the beautiful vistas. Angel is very passionate and knowledgeable about the history and the wines. What a love and appreciation we now have for the Chianti Classico region and the wines because of our new friend Angel! We are looking forward to a future tour with Enotropea and hope to see Angel again soon.

I have done multiple wine tours in Tuscany, and this one was by far the best. Angel went above and beyond to make sure we had such a unique experience. My friend and I learned so much about wine, and how it pairs with food. Also, the food was exceptional. Obviously the wine was amazing as well. You can tell how passionate Angel is, and he makes the tour personable and educational. I will definitely book another tour with Enotropea when I get the chance to return to Italy.
