Day 2: Chiang Mai, Thailand

Half day cycling tour in Wiang Kum Kam area (join in excursion including transfer, guide)
Duration: 4 hours
During this cycling trip you will get to know more about the rich historical and cultural history of Chiang Mai and its surrounding area. After picking up your bicycle at the bicycle depot you will start to wind your way towards the Pa Daed area, located just south of the city. As soon as you start cycling in the rural green surroundings you will be fascinated by the peaceful atmosphere and the way the locals live their daily lives. Along the way you will stop to visit some interesting places which are well worth a look, like a former leprosy colony, local temples or the workplaces of local people. Towards the end of the trip you will make your way towards the ruins of Wiang Kum Kam, one of Northern Thailand’s most ancient historical sites. These ruins are remarkably less touristy than the famous temples found inside the city and your guide will explain to you about the interesting history of this lost city.

Full day trekking Mae Tang with Elephant Sanctury and White Water Raft (join in excursion including transfer, guide, lunch)
Duration: 8:30 - 16:00
This morning, you will be picked up by guide and heading to heading to the north of Chiang Mai to Muang Kued Village. Upon arrival, you will meet with the Elephants. Here you can feed them with organic food from the village’s eco farm. Spend time to observing and interacting with the Elephants, learning about their habitat, behavior. You will be hand-on to make a local traditional medicine, mix from natural herbs for their health. Then it’s time to let the Elephant down to the river, you can bath and scrubbing them in the river by using native plants.Â
Then, after lunch at the village, continue to a starting point. Trek for 1 hour to the waterfall where you can enjoy swimming and relaxing. Then trek back and transfer to the rafting camp and adventure experience with a thrilling white water rafting along the Mae Tang River.Â
In the afternoon, you will arrive back at your hotel and free at leisure.

No! Most of our bamba travellers fall between the ages of 18 - 35, but everyone is young at heart and welcome to come experience the world with us! If you are between the ages of 18 and 118, we invite you to travel with bamba and have the time of your life! Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
