What is the itinerary for the first day of the tour?
On the first day, you will visit the Cementerio de trenes (Train Cemetery), El proceso de sal en Colchani (The Salt Production Process in Colchani), Artesanías de sal (Salt crafts), Montones de sal (Salt piles), Ojos de sal (Salt Eyes), and Isla Incahuasi (Incahuasi Island). You will then check-in to the Hotel de Sal and enjoy dinner together.

What will we see on the second day of the tour?
On the second day, you will visit Volcán Ollague, Lagunas con Flamencos (Cańapa Hedionda - Honda), Desierto de Siloli (Siloli Desert), Montañas de 7colores (7-Colored Mountains), El árbol de Piedra (The Stone Tree), and Laguna Colorada (Huayllajara). You will spend the night at the Albergue Laguna Colorada.

What is planned for the third day of the tour?
On the third day, you will visit the Geiseres, Aguas Termales (Thermal Waters), Rocas de Dalí (Dali's Rocks), Laguna Verde (Green Lagoon), Laguna Blanca (White Lagoon), Valle de Rocas (Valley of Rocks), Culplina, and San Cristobal. Guides will assist with your border crossing, and you should arrive in San Pedro at 12:00 pm.

Is there an age limit?
No! Most of our bamba travellers fall between the ages of 18 - 35, but everyone is young at heart and welcome to come experience the world with us! If you are between the ages of 18 and 118, we invite you to travel with bamba and have the time of your life! Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Who will be my travelling companions on the tour?
Most of our trips cater to the adventurous independent traveller. In fact, many of our travellers arrive on their own and quickly find that they easily meet like-minded people along the way at their hostels, on transportation, or during activities.

Do I need travel insurance?
We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance for your trip, especially when travelling in developing countries. Bamba does not include travel insurance of any type.Your current medical insurance may cover part of your trip, so it is important for you to become familiar with your current coverage. We recommend purchasing additional travel insurance that provides coverage for medical emergencies, emergency evacuation and repatriation, lost or stolen items and unforeseen cancellations. If you plan to participate in activities such as white-water rafting, trekking, sand-buggy rides, etc please make sure they are included in your policy.
