This 3 Day Chimpanzee trekking safari takes you to Kibale forest National park, In this reserve are several spectacular crater lakes and swamps which are home to hippo, buffalo and some elephant, and the forested areas are the natural habitat of our chimpanzees, occasionally lion and leopard can be spotted as they sleep through the midday sun.
Itinerary
Day 1 : Entebbe To Kibale National Park
Location: 2 Friends Beach Hotel

You will be picked up around 8: 00 am from your Hotel by our Guide who will brief you about your tour and then depart for Kibale Forest National Park which will take around five and a half hours of drive.
After Lunch you will be taken for Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary walk. This is a guided swamp walk that takes you closer seeing primates mostly monkeys, birds and butterflies. The wetland is a bird paradise with about 138 species and is best known for being home to the Great Blue Turaco.
This is a 2½ - 3 hour walk and is a must for bird lovers. Hopefully you will spot the elusive Sitatunga antelope and the Shoebill Stork. This is nothing to be missed. You will meet some of the primates here, even a chimpanzee at times. Other primate species include the black-and-white colobus, grey-cheeked mangabey, red-tailed, l’Hoest’s and blue monkeys, and olive baboons. Also, Bushbucks and mongooses and many more can also be found here. Dinner and overnight at kibale forest lodge
Day 2 : Chimpanzee Tracking Experience

Kibale Forest National Park boasts the highest number of primate species in the world, including the chimpanzees. Approximately 5,000 chimpanzees live in the wild in Uganda, which makes it a perfect place to spot them!
The park is popular for its primate’s population like the chimpanzees, colobus monkeys, red cheeked monkeys and red tailed monkeys. On your chimpanzee trails, these are regularly seen swinging in the forest trees and others feeding on the wild fruits. An experienced ranger will take you chimp tracking in the morning around 6:30 am. Once you locate the chimpanzees, you will have a full hour with them. You will return to you' lodge dinner and an overnight would be at Kibale Forest lodge
Day 3 : Transfer Back To Entebbe
Location: Entebbe International Airport

Wake up early in the morning, have your breakfast, end your stay in the "Land of the great apes" and depart with great memories of the moments spent with the fascinating chimpanzees. Transfer back to Kampala with lunch en-route, you will pass through Lake Mburo National Park where you will spot zebras, Uganda kobs and zebras on the way, you will reach late evening and catch your evening flight back home.
