Day 2 : Ho Chi Minh City - My Tho - Tra Vinh (Lunch)

Transfer by road to My Tho, the gateway to the Mekong Delta and the start of your cycling journey. Travel through the heart of the delta along narrow paths, past fields of sugar cane, fruit plantations, and lush green paddy fields. Enjoy watching the activities of the locals and soaking in the atmosphere as you pedal along the waterways to Tra Vihn. (Today's journey is 52km of cycling)

Day 3 : Tra Vinh - Can Tho (Lunch)

Peaceful roads lined with Khmer temples and river scenery take you from Tra Vinh to Can Tho. Stop along the way to rest your legs and visit peaceful temples, observe the local farmers, and visit a local school to spend time with the students journey is flat and picturesque through this part of the delta. (Today's journey is 82km of cycling)

Day 4 : Can Tho - Chau Doc (Lunch)

This morning, take the boat trip to see Cai Rang – Phong Dien floating maket. Vendors and craftsmen go about their business busily during the morning hours and cruising amongst the action is a great way to experience the local life.
Your last day of cycling in Vietnam's Mekong Delta takes you through different scenery as you head southwest toward Cambodia. The roads have a slight undulation and mountains begin to appear in the far distance. As you approach the town of Chau Doc, veer off toward Sam Mountain where a steep climb will reward you with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. Coast back down the mountain and return to Chau Doc in time for dinner.

Day 5 : Chau Doc – Xa Xia - Kep
Location: Kep Province

After breakfast, we start to ride from hotel ascending Sam Mountain which has dozens of pagodas and temples, and a magnificent view of Cambodia, just a few kilometers away. We also visit the Tay An pagoda which is aspects reflect some Hindu and Islamic influences and much history of this regions. After Sam Mountain, we say good bye to Chau Doc and continue riding to Xa Xia border. You will leave the bike behind Vietnam, walk across the border and your Cambodian team awaits you to hand over the bikes and give you a warm welcome to Cambodia.
Our ride in Cambodia starts with an amazing rural ride from the border to Kep. Kep is a small beach resort with much colonial charm tucked away from the beach. The ride in Cambodia is a 20km ride through rural Cambodia on sandy paths and quiet tarmac roads. On your way you will see many farmers looking at you curiously from under their rice hats and children will overcome their shyness and yell “Hello Mr.” to you.
Upon arrival in Kep we check in at the resort and enjoy a well deserved bath and refreshments. The setting of the resort is marvelous overlooking the Gulf of Thailand. The quiet beaches of Kep on the Gulf of Thailand are inviting you for a dive.
Day 6 : Kep - Sihanoukville (Lunch)

We depart today for a 85km ride to Cambodia’s primer beach resort, Sihanoukville. This ride is beautiful and all over good tarmac roads. Nevertheless will you encounter much rural sights and on your left hand side will you see the Gulf of Thailand every once in a while.
This very quiet and relaxing ride passes by Kampot and its Damrei Mountains (or Elephant Hills). On top of these hills is Bokor Hill Station situated and will be visible from the road. These mountains form a perfect back drop of today’s peaceful ride. In Kampot we enjoy a short cycle or walk through this wonderful provincial capital with its many well preserved French colonial buildings. We cycle onwards along the Gulf of Thailand through the paddy fields towards Veal Rinh. At Veal Rinh we can chose to transfer or cycle the additional 40km over the 7 hills of Sihanoukville.
This secluded hotel was build in 1963 and overlooks the Gulf of Thailand providing excellent views all around. Check in, relax and prepare yourself for dinner
Day 7 : Sihanoukville – Phnom Penh
Location: Phnom Penh

After breakfast we are free to enjoy a morning at the beach. After lunch at 2PM we start our transfer to Cambodia’s capital; Phnom Penh, which was once considered the most beautiful city in the orient. The remains of many colonial buildings are still present in the city.
Phnom Penh has several world famous landmarks to visit, which mostly relate to Cambodia's turbulent past. We check into our hotel and are free to fill in dinner
Day 8 : Phnompenh (Lunch)

After breakfast we will depart for The Royal Palace, which is a magnificent piece of architecture and holds many interesting sights with the Silver Pagoda and the Royal residence located on the Palace's grounds.
After this visit a visit to Cambodia’s darker past; the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum. This genocide museum reflects the horrors that took place between 1975 and 1979 in Cambodia.
We enjoy lunch at a local charity establishment where former street children are learning the art of hospitality and we take our bikes and cycle towards the Killing Fields. This short ride of about 35km in total will show you Cambodia’s dark past and will help you to appreciate the efforts Cambodians are putting to forget about the past and live life as it was meant to be.
After this visit we cycle back to our hotel where we will fresh up and prepare ourselves for dinner at Malis restaurant. Malis is very famous for its chef, who is internationally recognized and can create magnificent and decorative menus!
Day 9 : Kampong Chnang
Location: Krong Kampong Chhnang

After breakfast we cycle out of Phnom Penh's busy traffic towards theJapanese bridge and start cycling over first a busy stretch of road and after through the Cambodian countryside. You will share the road with light local traffic and get a good sense of what Cambodian transportation actually is. After 12Km you get to Prek Phnov and at the junction we left turn to unpaved roads passing local villages and rice fields. We pass the ancient capital of Udong where Udong Mountain is still home to many of the old Royal Palaces. We pay a visit to one of the remaining stupa’s and after a visit you will ride on the paved road heading north-west to Kompong Chhnang.
Kampong Chnang is the provincial capital of the province with the same name. The Tonle Sap River passes by Kampong Chhnang and the floating village is an attraction itself. It is located 91 km North of Phnom Penh. The area is scenic and hosts the typical Cambodian scene of endless paddy fields dotted with sugar palm trees. You’ll witness great views of the countryside and for sure will meet hordes of people welcoming you with a broad smile and a “Hello Mr.!” quote. Overnight in Samrong Sen hotel.
Day 10 : Kampong Cham - Siemreap

An early rise to catch the boat to Siem Reap, home of the place were Cambodia is famous for: Angkor Wat. We will transfer 6 hours by boat to Siem Reap. You will get a good look at the Tonle Sap Lake that lies in the heart of Cambodia. It’s the largest fresh water lake in South East Asia and its biodiversity put the Tonle Sap on the Ecological Wonders of the World list. The lake is of utmost importance to the Cambodian society as nearly 2 million people depend on the lake and its resources directly.
Upon your arrival in Siem Reap you will transfer to the restaurant for lunch. The highlight of your trip awaits you at Angkor Wat and you will start cycling the 8km towards the complex as soon as you finished your lunch. The shady roads and cooler temperature are only contributing to the great experience of exploring this massive World Heritage Side.
You will visit Angkor Wat immediately and have a chance to explore this great site by yourself or together with an English Speaking Guide who can tell you all about the temple and its carvings. For sunset we cycle 1km further down the road and climb the stairs of Phnom Bakheng.
This magnificent sight of last rays of light falling over Angkor is a sight not to be missed! After sunset we transfer to the hotel.
Day 11 : Siemreap Cycling Tour (Lunch)

Depart Siem Reap by bicycle in the morning after breakfast. Today we start riding to the Angkor complex and first visit Banteay Srei temple. We cycle 25km to Banteay Srei over rural roads. Banteay Srei is the best preserved temple of all. We explore the really peaceful countryside away from the crowds and awe ourselves over the well preserved carvings of Banteay Srei.
After this exploration we head back to the main complex and start exploring other temples. The first one would be Banteay Kdei. Know as one of the bigger complexes. Banteay Kdei is well preserved and offers great opportunities to explore on your own away from the crowds. On our way to the jungle overgrown Ta Prohm we pass Takeo Temple. This is a pyramid from temple and if you feel like it, climb the stairs and enjoy the view from above.
Ta Prohm is famous for its overgrown jungle and was used in the movie Tomb Raider. This temple gives you an opportunity to shoot some of the most beautiful pictures. It will also be at this temple that we will sit down for a well deserved picnic lunch in between the massive trees and ruins. After lunch we head out to Angkor Thom, the previous capital of Angkor Wat. We cycle over the shady main road until we arrive at the magnificent Victory Gate. We continue our ride and after 1.5km we arrive at the Bayon, famous for its four-faced towers. The terrace of the Leper king is another significant and beautiful piece of ancient architecture together with the Elephant Terrace and the Baphuon. The Bayon itself remains the highlight of this complex and after each corner you will find another mystery to discover. It’s a full-day cycle and exploration of some of the most impressive and significant temples of the Angkor complex. You will enjoy lunch at Angkor Café.
Head back to Siem reap where we will end this whole adventure with a celebratory dinner at Apsara Theatre where you will enjoy great food and a classical Apsara Ballet performance.
Day 12 : Siem Reap – Flight Out
