Highlights
Itinerary
Day 0 : Denarau - Mamanuca Island Group
Location: Denarau Island, Mana Island
Accommodation: Hotel, Porthole Cabins Staterooms and Tabua Suites
Meals Included: Lunch, Dinner
Sail from Port Denarau over lunch and enjoy a scenic cruise through the islands of the Mamanuca. If you are staying at one of these islands pre cruise there is no need to return to the mainland as we offer complimentary pickups between 2pm and 3.30pm.
Arrive at a small sandy island off the coast of Mana Island, Nuku-i-mana cay for a great opportunity to snorkel, dive or just relax on the beach. With snorkelling straight off the beach, it is a great time to learn to snorkel with our great crew or refresh your snorkelling skills.
The crew will welcome you aboard with gusto after Welcome Dinner in our air-conditioned dining room.
Day 1 : Nuku-I-Mana - Monu - Monuriki - Yanuya
Location: Mana Island, Monu Island, Yanuya Island, Monuriki
Accommodation: Hotel, Porthole Cabin Stateroom Tabua Suite
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
We offer lots of activities today but if you choose to relax on the sundeck with a good book you are welcome and will have incredible scenery to enjoy! Do as much or as little as you like.
This morning we explore an incredible "bommie" of coral off Monu island or enjoy kayaking and relaxing on the beach. We are back on board for lunch and our best beach visit of the trip this afternoon is Monuriki.
Monuriki is where the film Cast Away with Tom Hanks was shot and is absolutely idyllic.
This evening we visit a village church on the island of Yanuya. The Methodist choir is amazing.
Day 2 : Yanuya - Sacred Islands - Waya Island
Location: Yanuya Island, Yalobi lookout, Navadra, Yalobi
Accommodation: Hotel, Porthole Cabins staterooms and Tabua Suites
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Sacred Islands are the birthplace of the Fijian culture and where the spirits of the dead chiefs dwell. We deliver a sevusevu (offering of kava) to the graves of the chiefs when we arrive in this pristine island group.
We are greeted by some gorgeous black tipped reef sharks and our marine biologist offers some great insights into their life cycle and habits. Snorkelling the hard corals here is a highlight and the beaches are lovely.
Sail over lunch to Yalobi village on the spectacular, volcanic chiefly island of Waya. Here we visit a school, climb to the lookout and have the opportunity to buy flowers and handicrafts from the village market.
Day 3 : Waya - Denarau - Tivua Island
Location: Yalobi, Port Denarau
Accommodation: Hotel, Porthole Cabin Staterooms Tabua Suites
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
We arrive at Port Denarau over breakfast and 3 night passengers disembark. For those completing the seven day cruise there is a choice of complimentary tours. Orchid Garden, Mud Baths or Zip-lining (additional cost) are available for those who have had enough of sand and ocean. You will leave the ship by bus for your choice of tour and rejoin Reef Endeavour in time for lunch and sailing at 1pm.
The best option is to join our Tivua Island Day Cruise aboard one of our tall ships. Sail at 10am to our exclusive island of Tivua for a day of snorkelling, kayaking, cultural experiences and a tropical barbecue lunch with drinks included.
Reef Endeavour will arrive at 3.30pm to collect you.
Day 4 : Tivua Island - Naviti
Location: Naviti Island, Gunu, Tivua Island
Accommodation: Hotel
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
We sail overnight to Brothers beach on the island of Naviti, snorkelling beach and kayaks are all available or you may like to join our marine biologist for a glass bottomed boat tour.
Over lunch, we sail around the island to the village of Gunu where we enjoy the afternoon off the beach before venturing into the village for a lovo and meke (earth oven dinner and dancing). The village elders will welcome you into the village with a traditional Sevusevu ceremony and there will also be a flower, shell and handicraft market. Be careful which shells you buy as some are protected and can't be taken home.
Gather around the Tanoa (kava bowl) back aboard for desert, singing and dancing after dinner.
Day 5 : Naviti - Sawa-I-Lau
Location: Naviti Island, Sawa-i-Lau Caves
Accommodation: Hotel
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Today is crazy busy, so pace yourself. We have a visit to the Turquoise lagoon of sawa-i-lau where the film with Brooke Sheilds was filmed, Blue Lagoon.
We visit the limestone caves and hear about the legends of the pregnant chief's daughter and the eagle.
We also visit a local school and see how the children live for the week and have the opportunity to climb the peak of Mt Tamasua.
Day 6 : Saw-I-Lau - Yaqeta - Yanuya
Location: Yanggeta Island, Drawaqa Island, Sawa-i-Lau Caves
Accommodation: Hotel
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Snorkel snorkel snorkel and glass bottom boat is the catch cry for today. You may even have the opportunity to do so with a manta ray. Best time for this is May to October
Day 7 : Drawaqa - Denarau
Location: Drawaqa Island, Port Denarau
Accommodation: Hotel
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
We sail back to Denarau overnight arriving at the Port over breakfast.
There is time for farewells with crew and passengers before disembarkation at 9am. We include transfers to the Nadi International Airport or Denarau and Nadi hotels.
A farewell wouldn't be complete without the wistful strains of the beautiful Fijian farewell song, Isa Lei.
If you are remaining in Fiji for a few days you may like to join us aboard our sailing cat, Fiji One for a romantic Sunset dinner or sail out to Tivua Island aboard one of our tall ships.
