  • Take a Negombo City Tour

  • Negombo is a city on the west coast of Sri Lanka, north of the capital, Colombo. Near the waterfront, the remains of the 17th-century Dutch Fort now house a prison. Negombo Lagoon, lined with fishermen’s huts, feeds into the Dutch-era Hamilton Canal. The canal leads south to Colombo. Neoclassical St. Mary’s Church, completed in the 1920s, features a ceiling decorated with vivid religious paintings. Negombo is a beach town and its located just 10 kilometers from Bandaranaike International Airport and it’s the first destination with sandy and beautiful beaches that you will meet right after you arrive in Sri Lanka at Bandaranaike International Airport.

  • Proceed to Sigiriya.

  • Evening Minneriya Elephant Watching safari

  • Back to Sigiriya

  • Check-in at Hotel

  • Overnight at Kumbura Eco Lodge or Similar

Day 02 - Sigiriya to Kandy

  • Breakfast at the hotel

  • Visit Sigiriya Rock

  • Sigiriya o is an ancient rock forest Location in the northern Matale District near the town of Dambulla in the Central Province Sri Lanka The name refers to a site of historical and archaeological significance that is dominated by a massive column of rock nearly 200 meters (660 ft) high According to the ancient Sri Lankan chronicle the Culavamsa, this site was selected by King Kasyapa  (477 – 495 CE) for his new capital. He built his palace on the top of this rock and decorated its sides with colorful frescoes.

  • Take lunch (our guide will recommend the best place)

  • Dambulla Rock temple. Dambulla is the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. The rock towers 160 m over the surrounding plains. There are more than 80 documented caves in the surrounding area. Major attractions are spread over five caves, which contain statues and paintings.

  • Proceed to Kandy,

  • On the way to visit the spice/herbal garden.

  • Arrive at Kandy

  • Surrounded by mountains, which are home to tea plantations and biodiverse rainforest. The city's heart is scenic Kandy Lake which is popular for strolling. Kandy is famed for sacred Buddhist sites, including the Temple of the Tooth (Sri Dalada Maligawa) shrine, celebrated with the grand Esala Perahera annual procession. This was the last capital of the Sinhala kings whose patronage enabled the Dinahala culture to flourish for more than 2,500 years until the occupation of Sri Lanka by the British in 1815. It is also the site of the Temple of the Tooth Relic (the sacred tooth of the Buddha), which is a famous pilgrimage site, one of the most famous Buddhist temples in the world, which was built to protect the sacred tooth relic thought to belong to Lord Buddha, which has been enshrined in Sri Lanka for hundreds of years As well as a host of other temples, visitors to the city can wander along Kandy Lake, stroll through the stunning Botanical Gardens – created by the British in the 19th century and still one of the most beautiful gardens in Asia. The garden is famous for its countless (4000+) species of plants and trees. It is situated a 15-minute drive west of Kandy and is a great escape from the city.

  • Check in to the hotel

  • Stay overnight at Hotel Lagone or Similar

Day 03 - Kandy to Knuckles

  • Pick you up early in the morning

  • Proceed to the Knuckles region.

  • On the way, take breakfast

  • Arrive at Riverstone has Riverstone located approximately 30 km from the Matale town, when traveling on Matale Girandurukotte road, rather windy with quite a few hairpins turns but in good condition, offers great views all around with a mini world's end, much less traveled by mainstream tourists. Climatic conditions here are very similar to Horton plains with the addition of having two great waterfalls “Sera Ella” and “Bambarakiri Ella'', both of which are a sight for sore eyes, don’t forget to relax on the rock seats of “Sera Ella” relishing the cold misty spray of water on your face and Thelgamu Oya offers a great site for a dip in crystal clear but chilly water.

  • Enjoy botanical environmental beauty with the backdrop of Knuckles Range

  • Visit Pitawala Pathana and Small Worlds End.

  • Have a River Bath in Thelgamu Oya.

  • After having lunch take trekking on the knuckles mountain.

  • The Knuckles Mountain Range lies in central Sri Lanka, north-east of the city of Kandy. The range takes its name from a series of recumbent folds and peaks in the west of the massif which resembles the knuckles of clenched fist when viewed from certain locations in the Kandy District. Whilst this name was assigned by early British surveyors, the Sinhalese residents have traditionally referred to the area as Dumbara Kandu Watiye meaning mist-laden mountain range. The entire area is characterised by its striking landscapes often robed in thick layers of cloud but in addition to its aesthetic value the range is of great scientific interest. It is a climatic microcosm of the rest of Sri Lanka. Riverston Trekking is one of the most well-known adventure activities to try in Sri Lanka. The long trek along the hill won’t make you tired because of the ever-blowing wind that refreshes you from the beginning to the end. The entire region is a miracle of mother nature. The misty mountain top is the place where a giant telecommunication tower stands. We highly recommend this trek for all travelers who love adventure and enjoying nature’s beauty at the same time. There is a myth about Pitawala- pathana that Rama and Rawana had a chemical war here. Also, Tampita Temple - A unique temple with its prominent feature being mounted on dwarfed rock pillars

  • Overnight stay at the camping site.(dinner at the camping site)

Day 04 - knuckles to kithulgala

  • Breakfast at the camping site.

  • Proceed Kitulgala via Matale , Gampola & Nawalapitiya

  • Arrive at Kithulgala

  • Commence White Water rafting and participate in the White Water Rafting in the picturesque Kelani River,

  • Kitulgala is a small town in the west of Sri Lanka. It is in the wet zone rainforest, which gets two monsoons each year, and is one of the wettest places in the country. Nevertheless, it comes alive in the first three months of the year, especially in February, the driest month. The Academy Award-winning The Bridge on the River Kwai was filmed on the Kelani River near Kitulgala, although nothing remains now except the concrete foundations for the bridge and, supposedly, the submerged train cars that plunged into the river in the climactic scene. Kitulgala is also a base for white-water rafting, which starts a few kilometres upstream. This activity is for anyone above the age of 10 years with safety gear, modern rafts, and a comprehensive safety briefing will be given by our white water rafting instructors beforehand.

  • Do the bird watching in the evening.

  • Overnight stay at Kitulgala Adventures campsite

Ramayana Tour and Bentota Beach Experience

10-Apr-2024

From the time we landed in Colombo to the time we left Colombo back home Buddhika at Ceylon Travel dream and our great Guide Chamila took amazing care of us. Chamila was very informative and treated us like family, we travelled and visited a lot of places in Sri Lanka, he was very caring with my elderly family members and gave us an excellent tour around Sri Lanka. Ceylon Travel dream was very accommodating and very adjusting around our itinerary, they provided us with all the information and was easy to communicate with them, highly recommend them for future travels to Sri Lanka.

Ceylon Travel - One Stop solution for Sri Lanka

01-Jul-2024

Having decided fairly early on, Sri Lanka was set as our go to place for the honeymoon having an optimal mix of land, water, mountains with lush greenery. All research conducted pointed towards having a tour guide for ease of travel and arrangements, and thats when we stumbled upon Ceylon travels (having also heard of them through a friend) Our experience with Buddhika, from Ceylon travel and dreams has been nothing short of extraordinary. He was incredibly patient in hearing our interests, highly accommodating of our proposed changes in the journey and always willing to find the solution. He not only provided us with the optimal route for our 10 day trip but also booked plausibly the best hotels within our budger. We have had the best trip of our lives, all thanks to Buddhika, and his excellent tour guide who I would rate amongst the best in Sri Lanka. The tour guide (also the driver) whose name was also Buddhika is a very kind hearted man, and took care of us like family. Overall, this trip far exceeded our expectations and cannot wait to be back with the wider family, and obviously doing all the arrangements through Ceylon.
