After breakfast at the hotel, get ready to start your tour today. You will be picked up at your hotel at around 8 am with a shared transfer and taken to your hotel in Tamarindo for check in. Rest of day at leisure to rest or join our optional tour: Sunset Catamaran. You will be picked at your hotel at 1 pm and transfer to Catamaran. Glide silently along Costa Rica’s Gold Coast while passing some of Guanacaste’s exotic bays, white sand beaches, and tropical jungles. Gaze off the bow with a cold tropical drink, prepared and served by our crew, as you scan the seas for dolphins, sea turtles, flying fish or even a breaching whale. Stop in a tranquil bay, drop anchor, and frolic in the blue Pacific. Snorkel in the bay or run down the deserted white sand beach while the ever-helpful crew prepares a feast of BBQ chicken, yellow Spanish rice, fruit, chips, black bean puree, pico de gallo, and homemade chocolate chip cookies. Breakfast at the Hotel. Leisure day in the Tamarindo to enjoy the beach, the waves and explore the area on your own or enjoy one of our optional activities: ATV & Zipline Combo. The adventure starts either at 7.30 am or 12.30 pm and takes approximately 4 hours. We will ride the ATV'S across the local town of Brasilito, Flamingo and Potrero, crossing rivers and creeks. When we arrive at the canopy the guide will initiate the zip line tour. This canopy has 11 cables, some of them suspended up to 25 meters high above the ground and over 400 meters long. At the end enjoy some of the local attractions such as serpentarium, butterfly garden, monkeys and souvenir shops. Then we will ride the ATV'S back to the office. If you prefer a more relaxed experience, you can join this optional tour: Horseback Riding. The tour begins either at 7.30 am or 2.30 pm and takes approximately 2 hours. Start in the village of Brasilito on the route along the beaches and mountains. We can make stops during the tour if you wish to take pictures. In a short time we will change from strolling along a trail through the tropical forest, the home of monkeys, lizards, butterflies and other fascinating flora and fauna, to galloping on the most beautiful beaches.

With waves suitable for beginners and experts, numerous services and an active nightlife, Jacó is an excellent option for the practice of this fantastic sport.

Take advantage of this last day in Jacó, after breakfast at the hotel and join one of our optional tour: Carara National Park. At 7.30 am you will be transferred to Carara National Park. Known as one of Costa Rica’s many beautiful national parks; the Carara National Park is located on the Pacific coast being a very important ecological transition zone. Bordering the Pan-American Highway, this park is unique as the Amazonian and Mesoamerican ecosystems converge here to form a distinct biological reserve where the climates of the Pacific dry north meet the humid south coast. With a fantastic array of wildlife on display, visiting this park makes for a great nature hiking trip. Monkeys, crocodiles, armadillos, peccaries, waterfowls, opossums, sloths, boas, kinkajou, margay cats, jaguars, white tail deer and ozelots can be found here, as well as a wide assortment of birds and other reptiles and amphibians. The Carara National Park is also one of the few places where you can get to see the rare Scarlet Macaws, Jacamars and Trogons. This tour will take 4 hours. We were delayed a couple of times in getting to Costa Rica and our tour operator, Roy, was extremely accommodating of the changes. The trip was partially guided, so though lodging and transportation were covered there were a few days where I could have used help coordinating afternoon activities.

Our trip was well organized, all of the service providers ( transfers, guides, accommodations) we friendly and professional, and each location was as promised. A bit more local information would have been useful in preparing for the trip, but nothing that wasn't able to be accommodated on the fly.
