Day 1 : To Queen Elizabeth National Park For Afternoon Game Drive:

After your early morning breakfast, you will embark on an exciting drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park situated in the shadows of Mt. Rwenzori with several stops along the way for lunch, equator and landscape viewing before reaching the Park in the evening or late afternoon.
You will arrive in the afternoon and have your lunch before embarking on your afternoon game drive where you will expect to view animals like elephants, buffaloes, Lions, bush pigs, antelope’s families among others.
After your long journey and afternoon game drive, you will check in to the Bush Lodge (www.naturelodgesuganda.com) for your dinner and overnight stay in self-contained Banda with private bathroom facilities. The Bush Lodge forms an excellent base for your safari activities in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
The lodge is built along ecological principals, the self-contained Bandas with private bathroom facilities are designed and spaced in such a way that they maximize privacy and enhance the safari aspect of its guests. Surrounded by the National Park and bordering the Kazinga channel, the lodge has a truly unique setting. Animals’ literary roam in and out of the camp and the sounds of hippo’s and hyenas will compliment your trip. Day 2 : Game Drive & Boat Safari On Kazinga Channel:

Your safari breakfasts will be served before the day breaks so that you can start your morning game drive as the sun comes up. Sunrise is the best time for wildlife spotting as animals tend to be the most active during the “golden hours”, when the first rays of sunshine come to rest on the savannah. Lions, Elephants, Buffalos and several species of antelope are some characters you may come across today, and if you’re lucky, you may even spot a lion or leopard.
You will return for lunch & later in the day when the sun is high in the sky & the animals make their way to the river for a drink, you will head to Kazinga Channel for an exciting boat safari. You will spot more hippos today than you can possibly imagine. Herds of elephants & buffalos will also be wandering down to the shoreline to bathe in the cooling waters. It will be a wonderful experience.
After the boat safari, you will return to the Bush Lodge (www.naturelodgesuganda.com) for dinner & overnight stay in self-contained banda with private bathroom.

Day 3 : To Bwindi Impenetrable National Park With A Stopover At Ishasha Sector For Tree Climbing Lions Game Drive

On this day, you will wake up early and have your breakfast then transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park while enjoying a scenic drive that allows you to view the beautiful and varied countryside. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is located in the southwestern part of Uganda on the rim of the Rift Valley. More notably, this “impenetrable forest” protects over 400 population of mountain gorillas – approximately half of the population in the world, among which are a number of habituated groups, that can be tracked by visitors.
You will have a stopover for a game drive at Ishasha Sector, Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will be likely to view tree climbing lions, elephants, lions, buffaloes among other species.
In the afternoon after your lunch, you will continue with the drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park where you will arrive in the evening and check in to Gorilla Valley Lodge (www.naturelodgesuganda.com) for dinner and overnight stay in self-contained room with private bathroom facilities. This mid-range lodge is a slice of wilderness paradise far from the madding crowd; a place of renewal and reconnection with the natural world. And where one could get closer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Sometimes the Mountain gorillas come out of the forest to spend some time feeding and playing in their gardens. Also, from the veranda of their rooms you can almost touch this National Park.

Day 4 : Mountain Gorillas Tracking & Batwa Community Visit:
Location: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Lake Bunyonyi

After your breakfast, you will hike to the Park headquarters just meters from the Lodge for briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority guides before transferring to the starting point for Mountain Gorillas tracking. Your tracking experience will be an exciting, yet challenging, journey along forested slopes, tangled vines, thick vegetation & bamboo forests before you reach the territory of these gentle giants. The visit will give you a glimpse into the life of a Mountain Gorilla family & if you are lucky enough to gaze into the eyes of Mountain Gorillas. Visiting Mountain Gorillas will take you 3 hours to a full day trek through the forest since Mountain Gorillas move from one place to another every day looking for food & water, friends, hunting, copulation, grooming, play among others.
In the afternoon after your lunch, you will visit the Batwa Community for them to take you through their traditions of local beer making, fire setting, traditional dances among others before transferring to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at Arcadia Cottages, Lake Bunyonyi in self-contained cottages with private bathroom facilities.

Day 5 : Canoe Ride On Lake Bunyonyi (Optional) & Departure:

On this day, you will enjoy your last sunrise and breakfast in this beautiful National Park in Uganda and go for Canoe ride on Lake Bunyonyi (optional at additional fees of USD 50) before your guide drive you across the beautiful sceneries back to Entebbe & drop you off at Entebbe International Airport 3 hours before your departure time. Please make sure your flight departure is after 5 pm at the very earliest. For flights departing before 5 pm you will need an extra night in Entebbe, which we can help arrange for you at an additional cost.
You will also have a stopover at Igongo cultural Centre in Mbarara for your lunch.
