Day 1 : To Queen Elizabeth National Park for Afternoon (Sunset) Game Drive:

Location: Queen Elizabeth National Park

After morning breakfast, you will embark on an exciting drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park situated in the shadows of Mt. Rwenzori with several stops along the way for lunch, equator & landscape viewing before reaching the Park.

You will arrive in the afternoon, have lunch & embark on afternoon game drive where you will expect to view animals like elephants, buffaloes, Lions, bush pigs, antelope’s families among others.

After your long journey & afternoon game drive, you will check in to Bush Lodge for your dinner & overnight stay. The Bush Lodge forms an excellent base for your safari activities in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Surrounded by the Park & bordering Kazinga channel, the lodge has a truly unique setting. Animals’ literary roam in & out of the camp & the sounds of hippo’s & hyenas will compliment your trip. When at Bush Lodge expect a great outdoor safari atmosphere, close to nature with excellent food & friendly service.

Day 2 : Morning (Sunrise) Game drive, Afternoon Boat Safari on Kazinga Channel & Sunset Game drive:

Location: Queen Elizabeth National Park

Early in the morning, you will set out for a game drive in the park. Queen Elizabeth diverse eco-system of grassy plains, tropical forest, rivers, swamps, lakes & volcanic craters makes it home to an incredible abundance of wildlife. Game drives in this park, with the massive Rwenzori Mountains as a backdrop, provides excellent opportunities to see lion, leopard, forest hog, Cape buffalo, elephants, defassa waterbuck, Uganda Kob, Topi & bushbuck.

You will return for lunch & later in the day when the sun is high in the sky & the animals make their way to the river for a drink, you will head to Kazinga Channel for an exciting boat safari. You will spot more hippos today than you can possibly imagine. Herds of elephants & buffalos will also be wandering down to the shoreline to bath in the cooling waters. It will be a wonderful experience.

You will go for a short sunset game drive & return to the lodge for dinner & overnight stay.

Day 3 : Morning (Sunrise) Game drive at Ishasha & Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable or Mgahinga National Park:

Location: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, ishasha sector

On this day, you will wake up early & have your breakfast then go for morning (sunrise) Game drive at Ishasha sector, Queen Elizabeth National Park. Instead of scanning your eyes across vast savannah grasslands, look up & you might find something lurking in the sycamore-fig trees.

After your Game drive, you will drive to the “Switzerland of Africa” area known as the Kigezi Highlands with its terraced hillside & winding roads. Along the way, you will enjoy spectacular views of the mountainous countryside & this comes with many incredible photography opportunities. More notably, this “impenetrable forest” protects over 400 population of Gorillas – approximately half of the population in the world, among which are a number of habituated groups, that can be tracked by visitors.

You will arrive in the late afternoon & check in to Gorilla Bluff Lodge for your dinner & overnight stay.

Day 4 : Mountain Gorillas Tracking & Batwa/Pygmies Community Visit or Canoe/Boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi:

After your breakfast, you will hike to the park headquarters just meters from the lodge for briefing by UWA guides before transferring to the starting point for Gorillas tracking. You will enjoy Gorillas tracking in Bwindi. Bwindi has the biggest concentration of Gorillas, given its small size. The search for Gorillas goes through the thick untamed rainforest, where you’ll be scrambling over mossy rocks & through deep undergrowth. Watching Gorillas in their natural habitat is an experience that will last a lifetime. The experienced ranger guides will willingly share with you a lot of information about the history & lifestyle of these Gorillas.

After, you will choose to either go for Canoe ride on Lake Bunyonyi or visit the Batwa community for them to take you through their traditions like traditional dance, beer making, setting fire before checking in to Itambira Island Resort, Seeds of Hope for your dinner & overnight stay.

Day 5 : Equator Experience & Departure:

Location: Entebbe International Airport, Uganda Equator

You will enjoy your last sunrise and breakfast in this beautiful corner of Uganda before your guide drives you across the beautiful sceneries back to Entebbe. You will be dropped off at Entebbe International Airport 3 hours before your departure time with a stopover at the Equator Monument for an equator experience and photo moments.

Please make sure your flight departure is after 6 pm at the very earliest. For flights departing before 6 pm, you will need an extra night in Entebbe, which we can help arrange for you at an additional cost.

We communicated with five different operators and chose Ecovic Tours because of Vincent's quick response and him interest in the purpose of our trip (celebrating our 30th anniversary!). He helped us book able five day Murchison Falls and Kibale National Parks Safari in Uganda. There were many choices, but he helped us enjoy in what we really wanted. The safaris we went on every day were phenomenal! There were a variety of activities including; top of the falls walk, boat cruises, chimpanzees tracking, guided walk in nature among others. Everything we did was awe-inspiring; we saw the big 5 within the first 3 hours of our game drive at Murchison Falls National Park AND enjoyed chimpanzees tracking at Kibale National Park that ended up being a private adventure! Vincent was an absolute delight to deal with. From the first phone call he was extremely polite, professional and very eager to facilitate my requests regarding our safari. Our 11 nights in Uganda was very nice and fabulous and Murchison Falls was very nice also. On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, we were met by our guide from Ecovic Tours for our transfer to the Lodge where we were welcomed by very warm and friendly people who were more than eager to impart their local knowledge on us. The game drives, boat safaris, chimpanzee tracking and mountain gorillas tracking, golden monkeys viewing were some of the best we encountered during this safari. We would certainly recommend and utilize Ecovic Tours again. Many thanks to Vincent for a memorable trip.

My husband and I just returned from a 9-day trip to Uganda, and we certainly wish we had more time. The country and the people are beautiful but what made the trip even more enjoyable for us was our tour guide Edie from Ecovic Tours. He is very knowledgeable, accommodating and has a great sunny personality! Since this is our first trip, we relied a lot on Edie's expertise on how to best spend our short stay and what the local customs are. Overall, it was quite an enriching experience which wouldn't have been possible if we didn't have an excellent guide like Edie. We are also very pleased with the sales team, particularly Vincent who has assisted us with the planning of the trip. We wanted to see many places in a limited amount of time, but Vincent was able to create an itinerary for us that suited what we wanted and packed it with some of the most exciting activities possible given our short stay... Each time Vincent has surpassed all my expectations. The safari at Murchison Falls National Park was wonderful. This was a bucket list for me and I can't believe what a wonderful time I had.
