Tour Overview
The world famous Garden Route tour is visited during our 7-day “accommodated” tour. While stopping along the most famous tourist sites along the way, you will be staying at hotels and lodges rather than camping. As we leave Cape Town behind we drive to Stellenbosch. This town is renowned for its wines and historic splendor. After some free time to explore the Cape Dutch scenery, we drive through the majestic Outeniqua Mountains where we visit the Cango caves with its limestone caverns. We also visit an ostrich farm in Oudtshoorn where the brave travelers get to meet these long necked birds. The following day we leave for Knysna and its seaside beauties. Next we visit the Tsitsikamma National Park to enjoy canopy tours, jungle walks and blackwater tubing. This is also home to the highest bundgee jumping spot in the world. As we continue east we enjoy game drive through the Addo Elephant National Park where many wildlife can be spotted. Finally we arrive in Port Elizabth which is our final destination and where our tour ends. Important Note: the itinerary below is written with an optional Activity Package included. This optional payment covers what we consider highly recommended activities on the tour. Separating these activities out is designed to help people with differing budgets. If required, the Activity Package should be pre-purchased prior to your arrival to guarantee availability and to help your guides plan ahead to help the smooth running of the tour. Please contact us for details and prices.
