This is your arrival day in Kathmandu, Nepal. One of our company representative will be there at the Tribhuvan International airport to welcome and greet you. You'll then be escorted to the hotel in Kathmandu where you'll have a short briefing session with the guide regarding the trek. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
Day 2
:
Kathmandu Sightseeing and trekking preparation
It is a day for you to prepare for the trek as you complete all the necessary procedures and buy trekking items. You'll also be having a guided city tour of Kathmandu, home to several Buddhist and Hindu temples. You'll visit Kathmandu Durbar Square where you can witness an ancient heritage and architecture. Also, the tour takes you to the famous Pashupatinath temple of Lord Shiva, one of the sacred site for Hindus in Asia. Apart from that, you can pay a visit to Swayambhunath stupa also known as Monkey temple. After a day of exploration and preparation, you'll head back to the hotel. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
Day 3
:
Drive from Kathmandu (1400m) to Syabrubesi (1460m), (7-8 hrs of drive)
Location: Syaburbensi, Syaburbensi
Accommodation: Lodge, Lodge
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Today you'll drive to Syabrubesi, which is the starting point of the trek. The drive takes you through the town Trisuli and several small settlements before moving towards Dunche. After Dunche, it is another hour downhill drive to Syabrubesi where you'll be staying for the night. On the way, You can also get enjoyable views of the Trishuli River and surrounding landscape along with local villages and hills. Overnight stay at Syabrubesi.
Day 4
:
Trek from Syabrubesi (1460m) to Lama Hotel (2470m), (6-7 hours of walk)
Location: Lama Hotel
Accommodation: Lodge, Lodge
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
After having breakfast in Syabrubesi, you’ll begin your trek to Lama Hotel. The walk begins with a trail along the Langtang Khola. You'll ascend and descend through several oak and rhododendron forests today. Soon after a little uphill climb, you'll arrive at a place called Bamboo. Moving further, crossing a bridge over the Langtang Khola & passing through several small rivers & waterfalls, you'll finally arrive at Lama hotel after walking for around 6-7 hours. Overnight stay at Lama Hotel.
Day 5
:
Trek from Lama Hotel (2470m) to Langtang Valley (3500m), (5-6 hours of walk)
Location: Langtang Valley Nepal
Accommodation: Lodge, Lodge
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
From Lama Hotel, today you'll head to Langtang valley. On the way, you'll be able to witness the first view of Mt. Langtang Lirung rising up as you walk through the trails of forests & open fields. You'll pass through several villages and yak pastures and Tamang villages before arriving at the Langtang valley. Also, you'll have to cross the old Langtang valley that was devastatingly destroyed during the 2015 earthquake. After crossing the old Langtang valley, you'll walk on a steep trail for a while & arrive at the new Langtang valley. Overnight stay at Langtang valley.
Day 6
:
from Langtang Valley to KyanjinGumba (3800m) & hike to KyanjinRi (4773m) (optional), (3-4 hours of walk)
Location: Kyanjin Gompa
Accommodation: Lodge, Lodge
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
You'll head to the last settlement of the region, Kyanjin Gompa today. It is an easy and short walk as you pass by several prayer wheels, mani walls, and open fields alongside the river & there are not many settlements on the way. After the short trek, you'll arrive at Kyanjin gumba surrounded by mountains all around. After having lunch at Kyanjin Gompa, you have an option either to explore the village or go for a hike up to Kyanjin Ri, which offers some outstanding views of mountains. Hiking to Kyanjin Ri can also help you get acclimatized for the next day's climb. Overnight stay at Kyanjin Gompa.
Day 7
:
Hike to Tsergo Ri (4984m) from Kyanjin Gumba, (6-7 hours of walk)
Location: Tsergo Ri Peak, Kyanjin Gompa
Accommodation: Lodge, Lodge
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Today can be considered the highlight of the trek as you'll be spending an entire day exploring Tsergo Ri. You'll begin the trek early in the morning with a walk to Tsergo Ri. The walk begins as you cross Kyanjin Gompa and pass through the yak fields before ascending to Tserko Ri from where you can get majestic views of Yala Peak (5,520m), Langtang Ri (7,205m), Langtang Lirung (7,227m), and NayaKhang (5,844m), etc. After reaching the top, you can enjoy the packed lunch while relishing the majestic mountains right in front of our eyes. You'll then descend back to Kyanjin Gompa following the same route. Overnight stay at Kyanjin Gompa.
Day 8
:
Trek from Kyanjin Gumba to Lama Hotel, (5-6 hours of walk)
Location: Lama Hotel
Accommodation: Lodge, Lodge
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Following the same route today you’ll descend to Lama Hotel from Kyanjin Gompa. You'll pass through several villages like; Mundu, GhodaTabela & Langtang valley respectively before reaching Lama hotel. Overnight stay at Lama Hotel.
Day 9
:
Trek from Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi, (5-6 hours of walk)
Location: Syaburbensi
Accommodation: Lodge, Lodge
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Today is the final walking day of your trek as you descend to Syabrubesi while enjoying the quiet forested trails. You can walk at our own speed while enjoying the peaceful trails inside lush forests. After walking for around 5-6 hours, you'll arrive at Syabrubesi. Overnight stay at Syabrubesi.
Day 10
:
from Syabrubesi to Kathmandu, (7-8 hours of drive)
Location: Kathmandu, Kathmandu
Accommodation: Hostel, 3 star
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Today you’ll bid farewell to the Langtang region and drive back to Kathmandu. You'll arrive at Kathmandu after a 7-8 hrs of drive & you can spend the rest of the day in Kathmandu while catching up on some last-minute souvenir shopping. Overnight stay at Kathmandu.

My sister and I trekked in Langtang recently. The upper Langtang valley from Lantang village to Kyanjin Gompa and beyond is very magnificent. You are surrounded by snow-capped mountains on both sides. The time you are around glorious Himalayas, you will amaze for a while!
