This journey will take you trough the ancient splendors of Quito and the exotic islands of the Galapagos with their endemic animals. Begin your journey in Quito, the breathtaking capital city surrounded by the Andes Mountains. From there you will catch your flight to Baltra Island and sail to Santa Cruz, where you will learn about the volcanic soils and search for the world- famous Giant Tortoises. Next, you will travel to incredible places as Genovesa Island and Darwin Bay, where you will have the chance to see the Red-footed Boobies, as well as experience on sand, rock and lava formations so common in this area. Your next destinations will be Plaza Island and Santa Fe Island, where you will be immediately distracted by the abundant sea lions. On different stops you will have the chance to spot different variety of birds, such as Blue Footed Boobies, Frigate Birds, Red- Billed Tropicbirds, Swallow-Tailed Gulls. You will also have the opportunity to snorkel in turquoise waters and wonder at Galapagos amazing aquatic life. End you exploration the by Bachas Beach and visit the lagoon with wading birds, marine iguanas and sometimes even flamingoes. Finally fly back to Quito to connect with your flight back home.

Day 1: Quito (Arrival)
Make your own arrangement to take your international flight to Quito. Welcome to Quito! A representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. You will have free time to explore the city or relax and settle in.
Overnight in Quito
Day 2: Quito (B/-/-)
Enjoy breakfast at hotel before going on your city tour. Take a walk-through bustling streets and squares of the largest historical old town in the Americas; a multi-ethnic, artistic and a UNESCO Cultural Heritage Site.  Afterwards, our guide will take our guests to visit the Middle of the World Complex situated at 0 latitude to be with one foot in the northern and the other foot in the southern hemisphere. Return to the hotel.

Day 3: Quito - Galapagos (By Flight) – Cruise Embarkation - Highlands Tortoise Reserve (B/-/D)
Today after breakfast, leave to the domestic airport for your flight to the Galapagos Islands. After 2:30-hour flight arrive at the Baltra Airport. Our local representative will welcome you, and then you will be transferred to the port to embark the vessel and check in to your Cabin.
PM - Highlands Tortoise Reserve (Santa Cruz Island)
Dry landing. In the mountains of Galapagos is possible to admire different kinds of birds, such as tree and ground finches, vermillion flycatchers, paint-billed crakes, yellow warblers, and cattle egrets (usually standing on the tortoises' shell). The journey to the reserve offers great opportunities to see the contrasts that the island offers in reference to the variety of ecosystems. The road goes from the coast through the agricultural zone and straight up to the dense humid forests. Often, Galapagos giant tortoises are also seen on the way, almost every land bird present on the island lives or migrates here.

Day 4: Cruise - El Barranco - Darwin Bay (B/L/D)
Enjoy a buffet breakfast onboard the cruise before starting your day activities and excursions.
AM – El Barranco Prince Philip´s Steps (Genovesa Island)
Be marvelled at the variety of sea life that uses the crevices of the lava cliffs for shelter. Red-billed Tropicbirds fly overhead, switching between their nests and the bay, and a small colony of fur seals may be found near the landing site. You will be dropped off at a steep stairway that begins on rocks at the foot of a path that leads through a seabird colony full of Nazca and Red-footed Boobies. At the plateau, the trail continues inland allowing you to see more nesting booby colonies in the thin Palo Santo Forest. Near the end of the trail, over a rocky lava plain, Wedge-rumped Storm-Petrels can be observed flying in all directions. If you are lucky, you may catch a glimpse of a Short-eared Owl.

PM - Darwin Bay
Disembark onto a small sand and coral beach. A short trail heads west along a tidal lagoon and then up a rocky hill that leads to a point overlooking the cliffs and Darwin Bay. Along the trail near the tidal lagoon, visitors will see pairs of Swallow-tailed Gulls, Lava Gulls, Yellow-crowned and Lava Herons. The trail continues through Palo Santo trees, Opuntia cacti, and Saltbushes inhabited by Great Frigate birds and Red-footed Boobies. This is one of the few places in the islands where visitors are guaranteed to see Red-footed Boobies. It is estimated that more than 200,000 Red-footed Boobies live in the trees and bushes of Genovesa.

Day 5: Cruise - South Plaza Island - Santa Fe Island (B/L/D)
Enjoy a buffet breakfast onboard the cruise before starting your day activities and excursions.
AM - South Plaza Island
Sea lions, swallow-tailed gulls and iguanas are all present at the landing site. The small island is covered with a carpet of a red succulent studded with Opuntia cacti. At the cliff edge, we spend time watching birds fly past at eye level in the updraught. These include, frigatebirds, flocks of Galapagos shearwaters and of particular note, flights of displaying red-billed tropicbirds.

PM – Santa Fe Island
After a fabulous snorkel in the turquoise waters of the protected bay we may have enjoyed time with sea lions, turtles, reef sharks and spotted eagle rays. Landing onto a sandy beach we are immediately distracted by the abundant sea lions there with us. We begin a walk past a forest of island endemic giant Opuntia cacti. Here we search for another island-endemic the Santa Fe land iguana, paler than its cousins on other islands. Galapagos hawks and even endemic rice rats are also things to look out for.

Day 6: Bachas Beach - Cruise Disembarkation – Baltra Airport – Quito (By Flighy) - (B/-/-)
Enjoy your last breakfast onboard the cruise before Disembarkation.
AM- Bachas Beach
Named for some wrecked World War II barges whose ribs are still visible in the sand this visitor site offers great swimming, a lovely walk along the shore and a visit to a lagoon behind the high tide line with wading birds, marine iguanas and sometimes even flamingoes. The two beaches are also favourite nesting sites for green turtles which often leave tractor-like tracks in the sand.
AM – Baltra airport for flight back to Quito
After the visit, you will be transferred to the airport for the return flight to Quito to be able to connect to your international flight back home.

What happens if I need to change my holiday date once I’ve booked?
Changes to an existing reservation up to the Final Payment Date, whatever the cause, will incur a $100 per person amendment fee, potential loss of any supplier fees (such as non-refundable event tickets, park permits, and sea cruise reservations) plus any costs for replacement services. On/ after the Final Payment Date, the $100 change fee is no longer valid, instead cancellations terms apply.
