Tour Overview
Welcome to the Pakistan Tuk-Tuk Challenge! Pakistan. You’ve probably heard of it, and it’s fair to say that it hasn’t really been somewhere that has existed in most travellers’ minds as a place to go. But we’re here to tell you: it is most definitely a place to go. And it is most definitely best explored by tuk-tuk. Don’t believe us? Pop over to Google and type in ‘Pakistan nature’. See what comes up. From Islamabad to Hunza, and Peshawar to Gilgit – we are certain that your eyeballs are not ready for this. This place isn’t like all those other places you’ve been. It’s wilder, less-trampled and, objectively speaking, the perfect setting for the trip of a lifetime. Your heart will swell. So join us as we take our three-wheeled wonder-machines out into this fantastical place, on a 9-day ‘Amazing Race’-style challenge that’ll test your physical and mental prowess, and give you at least 636 stories to tell your grandkids. You’ll be pioneering a route through the north that approximately not many travellers have ever done before. You’ll be making history and having a ball.

What Ethical Travel credentials does the tour company have?
When you book a Large Minority challenge, up to 5% of your trip price is automatically donated to our flagship projects in the country you’ve picked to visit. And there’s more too. You’ll actually get to stop-in and see these projects on the ground. You’ll meet the kids, learn a bit about the community initiative and understand exactly where your money went. Cue the warm and fuzzy feels. When picking these foundation projects, we put a big emphasis on education. We don’t want to get all Presidential about this, but we really believe the kids are our future. We really think travel can make the world a better place, and to do that we’ve focused our meaningful travel efforts on three main areas: environment, learning resources and leisure activities. We organise these projects through local public schools (with a helping hand from a few hand-picked local charities and NGOs). The NGO or organisation provides all the logistical stuff, while the beneficiary school handles the ground level prep and the official handing over event. Each project is monitored for 48 months to make sure it’s doing what we want it to do, then the successful models are rolled out in other areas of the country. Please read more under our Sustainability & Responsible Travel section (in our profile)
-
Can the route change?
We try to stick to the original route and accommodation as much as possible, but they can be subject to change from time to time. There may also be times when we have to split the reservations across two or more hotels due to capacity issues but we will always let you know.
-
Will the accommodation included meet local health and safety regulations?
Yes, our accommodation choices meet health & safety standards. We strongly believe that after a full day of dirty adventuring everyone should be treated to a little bit of luxury. We hand pick all of our accommodation and make sure it's just right for that little bit of down time after a hard day on the road. You won't be disappointed!
-
Am I contributing to any charity by booking the tour?
In addition to having the time of your life on our adventure challenges, you’ll be contributing to the lives of locals and the environment. 5% of every dollar we get goes straight back to our flagship charity projects in the countries we visit.
-
is there an age limit?
Yes, you’ve got to be at least 18 years old in order to participate. We don’t have a maximum age, but if you’re over 65 we definitely recommend checking with your insurer to make sure you qualify for the medical insurance you’ll need to take part. The Challenge is physically tough, but by no means extreme – we won’t sugar-coat it. You should really only take part if you’re in decent physical shape and your health is A-Okay.
