Day 1 : Travel To Belgium

Day 2 : Cologne
Location: Cologne, Rhine Valley Gmbh

We begin the day by travelling to Cologne where you will receive an included tour of Cologne Cathedral. Afterwards we continue to our overnight hotel via the Rhine Valley.
Day 3 : Heidelberg

Today we visit the ancient university town of Heidelberg. The city enjoys a beautiful location on the banks of the River Neckar, and is often referred to as the ‘Romantic Town’ on account of its castle ruins and red sandstone buildings. Heidelberg castle has been described as the most beautiful castle ruin of Germany, and enjoys a prominent location overlooking the town – the views across Heidelberg and the Neckar are astounding. During our visit we include the funicular to the castle and a tour around the courtyard and the Castle garden.
This afternoon we continue to the Black Forest for a two-night stay.
Day 4 : Black Forest & Rhine Falls

This morning we discover the famous Black Forest, where traditional timbered buildings blend into the beautiful rolling landscape of wooded hills and green meadows. During our exploration we visit Lake Constance and the Rhine Falls, where you can enjoy an optional boat ride to admire the roaring masses and the power of the water. We continue to the town of Triberg, home to the magnificent Triberg Waterfalls, the highest waterfalls in Germany. Finally, we finish the day with a stop at the traditional cuckoo clocks.
Day 5 : Ulm
Location: Ulm, Munich

Today we continue to Munich for an overnight stay, calling at Ulm. The medieval town of Ulm is known for being the birthplace of Albert Einstein and for the Gothic Münster, which has one of the world’s highest bell towers. Enjoy an included guided walking tour to take in the city’s sights. We continue to Munich where we stay for two nights.
Day 6 : Munich

Enjoy a full day in wonderful Munich where we include a morning guided walking tour to introduce you to the city. In the heart of Munich is the Marienplatz, a large open square named after the Mariensäule, a Marian column in its centre. The square is dominated by the New Town Hall or Neues Rathaus as it is locally known. Its tower contains the Rathaus-Glockenspiel which dates from 1908. You will have the afternoon at leisure to explore at your own pace.
Day 7 : Regensburg & Nuremberg

We travel through Bavaria to Regensburg, renowned as one of the most beautiful medieval towns in Germany. You will have time at leisure to discover the narrow streets and medieval courtyards before continuing to Nuremberg. On arrival you can enjoy an optional guided sightseeing tour to introduce you to the city, complete with a tasting of the 'Nürnberger Bratwurst', the city’s famous sausage!
Day 8 : Bayreuth & Dresden

Our first stop today is Bayreuth, known for its famous Bayreuth Festival of Music and UNESCO listed Opera House. We continue on to Dresden, the enchanting capital of Saxony. Set on the banks of the lovely Elbe River, Dresden has a remarkable history which rose proudly from the dark days or World War II – this is
reflected in its wealth of restored historic buildings, including the Frauenkirche, the Semper Opera and the Zwinger. On arrival we include a sightseeing tour to introduce you to the city. We stay overnight in Dresden.
Day 9 : Kromlauer Rhododendron Park
Location: Azalea and Rhododendron Park Kromlau

Today’s first stop is Kromlauer Rhododendron Park where you can see the extraordinary ‘Rakotzbrucke’, also known as the devils bridge. Commissioned in 1860, the delicately arched bridge was specifically built to create a circle when reflected in the waters beneath. Following a photo stop, we continue to the enchanting Spree Forest. We explore the sparkling labyrinth of fascinating green wetlands, thick forests and romantic streams by boat. This evening we arrive in Berlin for a two night stay.
Day 10 : Berlin

Germany’s capital is a city with something for everyone, including fantastic gastronomic experiences, art, shopping, culture, history and much more. We include a sightseeing tour to introduce you to the city, pointing out and explaining the interesting stories behind the array of Berlin’s famous sights. We pass by the Brandenburg Gate and continue into former East Berlin where we see the famous Unter den Linden Street with the Cathedral and Humboldt University. The remainder of the day is at leisure, and with such a chequered past there is plenty for you to see and explore.
Day 11 : Hamburg

This morning we travel to Germany’s ‘Pearl of the North’ Hamburg. Germany’s second largest city and biggest port, Hamburg’s nautical heritage and bustling port create an attractive and lively city filled with striking architecture and maritime charm. Why not join our optional sightseeing tour to make the most of your visit? Highlights include the incredible Elbphilharmonie Concert Hall, historic docks and Neo-Renaissance style city hall.
Day 12 : Bremen & Dusseldorf

We continue our journey through Germany’s north with a morning visit to Bremen. The town is home to a unique expressionist quarter and famous for its history, traditions and the ‘Bremen Town Musicians’ from the Brothers Grimm fairy tale. Join an optional walking tour to discover the best of the city.
Later we continue to Düsseldorf, known for one of the most famous shopping streets in Germany; the Koenigsallee, known locally as the “Kö”. Enjoy a stroll along the Rhine Promenade, where you can see landmarks such as the Schlossturm tower or St. Lambertus church, or why not explore Burgplatz, where you can see the Schiffahrt Museum (shipping museum) and the Cartwheeler’s Fountain? You will have free time to explore before we continue to our Dusseldorf hotel.
Day 13 : Travel Back To Belgium
