Itinerary
Day 1 : Arrival Terminal/ Pinnawala/ sigiriya
Location: Arrival Terminal

After meet and greet at the airport proceed to Pinnawala.
Visit the Elephant Orphanage at Pinnawala located close to Kegalle town, halfway between Colombo & Kandy.
Local Lunch
Proceed to Sigiriya and chek into the hotel.
Dinner and overnight in Sigiriya.
Day 2 : Sigiriya/ Kaudulla National Park/ Sigiriya
Location: Sigiriya

After an early breakfast climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress.
Sigiriya is named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Apart from its gigantic size, Sigiriya’s wonder is in its advanced irrigation systems said to be well ahead of its time. engineers from around the globe are still bewildered by the existence of such advanced technology in such ancient times. The fortress is further enhanced by its beautiful water gardens, frescos of Sigiriya Damsels, and the graffiti Mirror Wall.
Local lunch.
In the afternoon proceed to Kaudulla National Park for a Safari.
The park has opened in 2002, is surrounded by grasslands and can be visited year-round to see elephants and other great wildlife.
Herds of elephants can be spotted in this park, even with small elephant babies.
Dinner and overnight in Sigiriya.
Day 3 : Sigiriya/ Polonnaruwa/ Minneriya National Park

After breakfast visit Polonnaruwa.
The Royal Palace Group- This group of buildings dates from the period of King Parakramabahu I (1153 – 1186). The King`s Royal Palace is a massive structure, measuring 31 m by 13 m, once including 50 rooms supported by 30 columns. Even today it is quite an impressive building, but picture it being seven floors tall with 3 m thick walls.
The king`s Audience Hall is one of the best-preserved structures in the Royal Palace Group, with beautiful stone carved elephants on the walls.
In the palace grounds is the king´s swimming pool, with crocodile-mouth spouts.
The Vatadage, a circular relic house typical of its kind. The outermost terrace is an impressive 18m in diameter and has four entrances all flanked by large guard stones in beautiful condition.
The huge Lankatilaka is impressive with its 17 m high walls.
Wear clothes that cover your knees and shoulders, since some of the ruins of the Ancient City are sacred.
Local Lunch.
In the afternoon go on a Safari in Minneriya National Park. The only place in the world to witness the largest, Asian elephant ‘Gathering’ known to exist on the planet.

Day 4 : Sigiriya/ Anuradhapura

Breakfast at the hotel and visit Anuradhapura.
Visits to Atamasthana, Twin Ponds, and Isurumuni Vehera.
Anuradhapura is a must-visit tourist destination for those who wish to see what Sri Lanka was 2000 years ago. The Sri Maha Bodhi which is an offshoot of the very tree at which Buddha attained nirvana lies in the center of the holy city. Planted in 249 BC, this is the oldest tree in the world of recorded history.
Built-in the 3rd century, the Jetawana Stupa of the Jetawanaramaya Aramic Complex at Anuradhapura was originally 400 feet (122 meters) in height and was the third tallest building in the world at that time. Even today as a brick monument, Jethawanaramaya still remains the tallest of its kind in the world.

Day 5 : Anuradhapura/ Kandy

Visit Dalada Maligawa in Kandy. Sri Dalada Maligawa or the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a Buddhist temple in the city of Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, which houses the relic of the tooth of the Buddha.
Chek into the hotel in Kandy.
Local lunch and in the afternoon visit Kandy Lake Club culture show.
Dinner and overnight in Kandy.
Day 6 : Kandy/ Departure Terminal
