Tour Overview

The Three Passes Trek is a challenging yet rewarding circuit in the Everest region of Nepal that encompasses three of the highest passes in the world: Renjo La, Cho La, and Kongma La, each offering magnificent views of the Himalayas. The trek typically spans over 18 to 21 days, depending on pace and weather conditions. It's renowned for its dramatic mountain vistas, including views of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu, among others. As a comprehensive journey through the heart of the Khumbu region, trekkers will encounter diverse landscapes ranging from green farmlands to glacial moraines and icy trails. This trek includes visits to the iconic Everest Base Camp and the viewpoint of Kala Patthar, which provides a classic view of Everest's towering summit. Travelers will also experience the unique Sherpa culture by visiting local monasteries and villages. The trek is strenuous and includes long days of walking at high altitudes, which requires excellent physical fitness and proper acclimatization. The best times to undertake this trek are during the pre-monsoon season (March to May) and post-monsoon season (September to November) when the weather is most stable and the views are clear. While the Three Passes Trek is less crowded than the standard Everest Base Camp Trek, it is equally, if not more, spectacular with its serene trails and panoramic landscapes. It is a journey that challenges the body, stimulates the mind, and uplifts the spirit, offering an unrivaled trekking experience for the adventurous soul.

Highlights

  • Conquer three of the Himalaya's high passes, each with its own unique vistas and challenges.

Excellent Support Team

30-Apr-2023

Thank you to our Nepalese friend and tour operator Tilak, guide Pasang, and porter Raj for their excellent support during my stay in Nepal. I had a wonderful time with you guys. Without your supporting team, my trek to Everest Base Camp wouldn't have been possible. I have shared my photos with my friends. And they are very jealous looking at the photos. Some of them want to do the same trek we did. So, I have forwarded your website; they will contact you soon.

Everest Base Camp was truly unforgettable

09-Mar-2023

My trip to Everest Base Camp, coordinated by Nepal Hiking's Tilak, was an unforgettable experience. The awe-inspiring scenery, challenging routes, and friendly locals were elevated by the invaluable assistance from my guide, Ram. I highly recommend Nepal Hiking for treks in this region, particularly Ram, for his expertise, warmth, and strong English skills. My deepest thanks to all who helped turn my dream into reality.

A great Experience

18-Apr-2022

I reserved an 11-day Everest Base Camp trek with Nepal Hiking over the Chinese New Year. Their pre-trip communication via Email and WhatsApp was exemplary. They seamlessly managed our airport logistics, transfers, and lodging. Our guide and porters significantly enriched the experience. Given the quality and value, I highly endorse them for such adventures.
