Day 1 : Colombo

Location: Colombo

Accommodation: Hotel

You will be picked up from the central location of Colombo or the International airport the Bandaranaike International Airport by the driver and the tour escort and transferred to the hotel for resting and sleeping.
After refreshing sightseeing of Colombo starts. You will be taken for sightseeing of Colombo visiting clock tower, Pettah bazar, a Hindu as well as a Buddhist temple as well as the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH)- an outright gift to Sri Lanka from the People' Republic of China. Day 2 : Sigiriya and village tour

Location: Sigiriya

Accommodation: Hotel

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, lunch during the village tour

After breakfast participate in a popular village tour during which you will try oxen cart ride, traditional catamaran safari as well as see cooking demonstration on traditional Sri Lankan food and taste
delicious authentic Sri Lankan village lunch.
Next, you will have to climb up 1200 steps to the Sigiriya Rock. There are several platforms that break up the steps and allow for a little break if you need it. From some places along the path you also get an amazing view of the surrounding area. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3 : Kandy

Location: Kandy

After breakfast travel to the town Kandy which is famous for a temple of the tooth, a Buddhist temple. On the way there we will stop at the spice garden where you will be able to find out something about Sri Lankann spices, herbs and medicines.
The Tooth relic temple is located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, which houses the relic of the tooth of the Buddha. Next you will enjoy the cultural dance show. Overnight at Kandy.

Day 4 : Nuwara Eliya

Location: Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast travel up to the mountains to a picturesque town Nuwara Eliya famous for its lush green scenic tea plantations. Visit a famous tea factory with the possibility of buying some very good quality tea. You will also visit the temple of Seetha in Seetha Eliya. This place is believed to be the site where Sita was held captive by king Ravana, and where she prayed daily for Rama to come and rescue her in the Hindu epic, Ramayana.On the rock face across the stream are circular depressions said to be the footprints of Lord Hanuman. There will be also opportunity to try safari at Hakgala Botanical garden. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5 : Yala National Park and Ravana waterfall

After breakfast drive to the Yala National Park.On the way you will have an opportunity to stop for the picture of beautiful Ravana waterfall. Day 6 : Galle

After breakfast travel to the city Galle. Enjoy sightseeing of the places like: the Turtle hatchery centre and enjoy walking in the beautiful Galle fort with the possibility of taking pictures of stunning landscape and doing the shopping. Day 7 : Colombo

After hotel check out you will be dropped off to Colombo airport or another central location in Colombo.

The best Sri Lanka experience

I had the most amazing 3 week trip ever to Sri Lanka. The island really does have so much to offer - nature, amazing beaches and countryside, beautiful wildlife, the most incredibly interesting historical and religious sites, wonderful food, good choice of accommodation to suit all budgets... I could go on and on! Undoubtedly the best way to see the country is to hire a guide and/or driver - it's the fastest way to cover a lot of ground and see all the sites but more importantly, it's how you are most likely to gain a true insight into the Sri Lankan way of life and the lovely Sinhalese people! I spent much of my time with the guide I met in Kandy. Together with a fantastic driver, we travelled around much of the country and had so many good times on the way. ...more ...less

We would like to thank you for making our holiday a fantastic experience in Sri Lanka. Our driver Sarath was very professional and spoke very good English. All the hotels were well selected with great ambience and greenery around that made us feel really exotic in some places. The train to Ella was first class! we had seats in the front row with a beautiful panoramic view. We ate our meals in wonderful restaurants or resort with large buffet selection and we didn't pay much. We had an opportunity to be national parks, see UNESCO treasures, tea plantation and packing/sorting factory, went mountain climbing, had an ocean picnic, went boating. Sri Lanka is beautiful and so green, the beaches are clean and picturesque. It is hard to believe that such a small island has so much to offer. Thanks to Paylesstoursindia we had a perfect opportunity to see all the most beautiful places , had some leisure time to relax and do some additional activities. Our personal drive showed us extra places and was always at our service. We couldn’t have wished for a better experience; Pradeep was kind, professional, and full of knowledge. From the airport pickup, to final goodbyes, Pradeep acted as not only our driver but as a knowledgeable host for first time visitors in Sri Lanka like ourselves.
