Day 2 Christmas Eve In Keswick And Grasmere
Location: Christmas Eve in Keswick and Grasmere
Today we visit the picturesque market town of Keswick. Overlooked by the dramatic Skiddaw range in the north and the expansive Derwentwater in the south the town enjoys an idyllic location in the north of the Lake District. Enjoy time at leisure to explore the town before continuing to the pretty village of Grasmere, known for being the home of William Wordsworth. Explore the village where you can admire the spectacular surrounding fells, visit Wordsworth’s grave, or maybe even buy some of the legendary Grasmere gingerbread.
Day 3 Christmas Day At Leisure
Location: Christmas Day at leisure
Merry Christmas! Relax in Windermere, open some presents, tuck into a traditional turkey dinner, and enjoy the festive atmosphere in the hotel with your fellow travellers.
Day 4 Boxing Day In Ambleside And Bowness
Location: Boxing Day in Ambleside and Bowness
This morning we will head to nearby Bowness, the village on the shores of Lake Windermere and one of the most visited destinations in the Lake District. We continue charming Ambleside, predominantly a Victorian town, bursting with shops selling a range of arts, crafts, and outdoor activity shops. We return to the hotel for a festive cream tea.
Day 5
We depart the hotel this morning, filled with magical Christmas memories, and return home.
