Our 14 days Everest Base Camp trek begins with a short scenic flight to Lukla Airport from Kathmandu. The highest point of the trek is Kala Patthar (5550m), from where we will get to see spectacular views of Mount Everest and the surrounding mountains. Throughout EBC trek, the scenery changes from alpine forests, Local Sherpa villages, and raging rivers (Dudh Koshi River) to rough paths of glacial debris and 360-degree panoramic views of the Himalayas with names such as Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse and Mt. Ama Dablam. However, there is more to this trek than just thin air and amazing scenery. Even without the prayer flags that adorn the trail at places, chortens, pious Sherpa people with their prayer wheels, and the largest Tengboche Monastery, Khumbu region still oozes with spirituality. Day 1 : Arrive In Kathmandu (1,400 M) & Transfer To Hotel.
Location: Kathmandu

Arrival in Kathmandu, Sherpa Expedition and Trekking airport representative welcomes you at the Tribhuvan International Airport, (TIA) Kathmandu. He/She take you to the hotel in our private tourist vehicle. Then, we schedule a pre-trip meeting at the office with our trekking staff in the afternoon.
If you arrive earlier than 5 pm, the Sherpa Expedition Travel consultant will hold a pre-trip meeting about the Everest Base Camp trek in our office. But if you arrive after 5 pm, our trekking staff will give you a pre-trek briefing about the Everest Base Camp trekking on the same day. We highly encourage you to ask any questions you have regarding the trip during the meeting.
Note: Do not forget to bring the passport, two copies of passport-size photos and a readable copy of your travel insurance policy.
Day 2 : Fly To Lukla (2,804M) & Trek To Phakding (2,610M) Duration: 4-5 Hours.

Today, we wake up around 5 to 6 am and drive to the Tribhuvan domestic airport in Kathmandu for about 20 minutes and fly to Lukla (30 minutes). Applicable for the remaining months, except for high trekking months. (March, April, May, October and November)
You will Flight to Tenzing-Hillary Airport usually takes place early in the morning. We suggest you make all the sorting and packing the day before, so there is no rush on the day 3rd. Once you arrive at Lukla, you will take your breakfast while our guide will make an arrangement of porters. Sherpa Expedition and Trekking Company assigns one porter to every two clients. (The Porter can carry Maximum 25 Kg weight). After having breakfast we start the trek by descending towards the Dudh Kosi River where we join the main trail to Namche Bazaar, located just above Chaunikharka (2,713 m). Today walking is easy and after passing through the small village of Ghat (2,550 m), it is a short walk to reach Phakding. We stay overnight at Teahouse.
Day 3 : Trek From Phakding To Namche Bazaar (3,441 M) Duration: 5-6 Hours.

From Phakding, we will trek along the banks of the Dudh Koshi valley crossing suspension bridges en route. Hereafter we walking through a beautiful pine forest towards the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park at Manjo for a brief permit check. After that, we will continue to trek in Namche trails, climb steeply upward beholding the sights of sacred mani stones, colorful prayer Buddhist flags, raging Dudhkoshi glacial rivers, and beautiful mountains. The EBC short trek for today comes to close as you reach Namche Bazaar, the Sherpa capital town where we spend 2 days for exploration and acclimatization.
Day 4 - Acclimatzation Day At Namche Bazaar & Hike To Everest View Hotel; Duration: 4-5 Hours.
Location: Namche

Today is the first acclimatization spot en route to EBC. Namche is a popular mountain town that is a busy trading hub of native Sherpa people where we can shop mountain gears and clothes, buy local handicrafts, Banks, Coffee shops, find hotels, guest houses, and explore museums, and many more.
We spend acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar. We explore the Sherpa Cultural Museum to visit the history and culture of the local Sherpa people and their unique traditions and customs. Also, we can hike up to Syangboche Airport (the highest altitude airport of Nepal) and Everest view hotel, the highest placed hotel in the world at 3,962 meters. This place offers panoramic views of Mount Everest, Mt. Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and other mountain peaks. We return back to Namche for overnight stay.
Day 5 : Trek From Namche To Tengboche (3860M) Duration: 5-6 Hours.

From Namche, We start the trek through the forest to Kenjoma where the path connects with Khumjung. We trek continues descending towards Dudh Koshi River, followed by steep ascent towards Tengboche Monastries. On the trail, behold the sights of rushing glacial river, rhododendron forest, and cliff-top monasteries.
We will also pay a visit to the Tengboche monastery, the famed and largest monastery in the Everest region. We will discover powerful spiritual experiences, Buddhist celebrations, and enactments there. Depending on our arrival time, we will observe a prayer ceremony performed by Buddhist Lamas either in the evening or morning. From Tengboche, we enjoy the breathtaking and amazing view of mountains; Mount Everest, Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Lhotse, Kwangde, Tawachee, and many other snow-clad mountains.
Day 6 : Trek From Tengboche To Dingboche (4,350M) Duration: 4-5 Hours.

Leaving Tengboche, we trek through trails that coniferous forest to Deboche. From Deboche, we cross the suspension bridge over the Imja Khola river and climb uphill towards Pangboche village. After that, we follow the trails towards the Imja Valley, Lobuche River, and the final climb up to quaint traditional Sherpa village, Dingboche. En trail, we come across colorful mani stones, Mani walls prayer flags, and breathtaking view of Mt. Lhotse, Island Peak, and Mt. Ama Dablam. We will spend two days at Dingboche for exploration and acclimatization.
Day 7 : Acclimatization Hike To Nangkartshang Peak (5,083 M) Duration: 4-5 Hours.

Today is our rest day at Dingboche for acclimatization Especially when going on a high elevation, we need to take a rest in order to adapt to a new environment and prevent Mountain altitude sickness. Today, we take a short hike to the Nangkartshang peak for magnificent views of gorgeous Mt. Ama Dablam (6,812m). This evening, we stroll around the village or you can take a rest at teahouse. Along the trail, we see farmlands surrounded by stone walls to protect food crops grown in Dingboche village.
Day 8 : Trek From Dingboche To Lobuche (4,910 M) Duration: 5-6 Hours.
Location: Lobuche

From Dingboche, we trek the trail that gradually goes uphill to Dughla offering a stunning view of Tawachee and Cholatse Peak. As we pass through the trail, we come across the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier. En route, we can observe the stone memorials with Buddhist prayer flags built in the memory of perished climbers. After that, we trek towards Lobuche; from Lobuche, we observe a close view of mountain peaks like Mt. Nuptse, Lobuche, and Pumori. We spend our night at Lobuche.
Day 9 : Trek From Lobuche To Everest Base Camp (5,364 M) & Back To Gorak Shep (5,180 M) Duration: 6-7 Hours.

Today is a great day, a challenging yet fulfilling trek. Prepare yourself for hiking to the base of the world’s highest mountain- Mount Everest (8,848m).
After having breakfast, we headed to Gorak Shep. From Gorakshep, the strenuous trek continues along the alpine trails, walking through rivers, rocky dunes, and moraines. En route to EBC, we observe a magnificent view of Khumbu Glacier and Khumbu Icefall. From Base Camp, we will have a much better view of incredible peaks like Mt. Everest, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Khumbutse, Pumori, among others. Also, we have an opportunity to meet expedition team and climbers, camping for summiting Mount Everest, especially during the spring season (March, April and May). It’s time for celebrating the beauty and wilderness of the Himalayas and experience breathtaking Himalaya views. After spending a some time at Base Camp we return back to Gorakshep for overnight stay.
Day 10 : Hike To Kalapattar (5550M) & Trek To Pheriche (4210M) Duration : 7-8 Hours.

Today early in the morning, we hike to Kalapatthar for sunrise view over the mountains. Kalapatthar offers the best viewpoint for observing the panoramic view of Mount Everest, Mt.Lhotse, Mt. Nuptse, Chagatse, Pumori, and other many Himalayan peaks.
Finally experience the fascinating trek of a lifetime and the profound phenomenon of mountains, standing on the highest elevation of the entire trip, 5550m. From here, we trek down to Gorak Shep for breakfast and continue trekking towards Pheriche following the same route.
Day 11 : Trek From Pheriche To Namche Bazaar (3,441 M) Duration: 6-7 Hours.

From Pheriche, We will fallow the same route back to Namche. On the way, we trek through the Pangboche village, then Tengboche village that leads to our today final destination Namche, for overnight stay. En route, we come across Dudh Koshi river, forests filled with rhododendron, pine, Himalayan birch, juniper trees, colorful pheasants, and Himalayan Thar.
Day 12 : Trek From Namche To Lukla (2,804 M) Duration: 6-7 Hours.

Leaving Namche, This is the final leg of our epic Everest Base Camp Trek in the Khumbu region as we retrace the same route back to Lukla. Now is the time to reflect back on this adventurous trip of your life and celebrate our extraordinary achievement. You can spend our free time exploring the Lukla village and enjoying the sightseeing. In this evening time, there may be a party atmosphere at Lukla. Enjoy the moment and celebrate with our trekking team
Day 13 : Fly Back To Kathmandu.

After having breakfast we catch a flight from Lukla to Kathmandu flight – 35 minutes and transfer to hotel by private tourist vehicle which takes about 30 minutes.

Day 14 - Transfer To The International Airport For Your Final Departure
