After this, why not join your group in Durbar Square? Head to one of the amazing restaurants locally and get your first taste of what Nepal has to offer. Following that, head to the Thamal District, for a chance to dive into the live music scene.
Day 2 : Kathmandu
Location: Kathmandu
Accommodation: Hostel
If you’re an early riser and you’re keen to tick off a bucket-list goal, this morning you can take an optional Everest sightseeing flight, where you’ll watch the sun come up over the world’s most famous mountain.
Later in the morning, we’ll all regroup to spend a day exploring some of Kathmandu’s most interesting sites – including the Swayambhunath Stupa Temple, Boudhanath & Pashupatinath Temple.
Day 3 : Nagarkot
Location: Nagarkot
Accommodation: Hostel
Today, we’re transferring to Nagarkot via a quick stopover in Lalitpur. Here, you can visit the city’s temples – and even get a chance to meet a living goddess who lives there! Key visits include the Golden Temple and the Bangla Mukhi Temple.
Following that, it’s continuing on to Nagarkot, arriving in time for lunch. After that, your afternoon is yours to do as you please. If you’d like, you can join us for a 30-minute hike to a local viewpoint, which is the perfect place to watch the sunset.
Day 4 : Kathmandu
Location: Kathmandu
Accommodation: Hostel
Today, we’re packing in a couple of visits en route back to Kathmandu. This morning, we’re off to visit Bhaktapur! Once here, you’ll take an unmissable morning walking tour of the city, which is a UNESCO Worls Heritage site.
After that, we’ll transfer to Pharphing, where we’ll explore the monastery there. You’ll be in amongst the monks, and you’ll have a chance to explore the cave where the Great Master Padmasambhava mediatated.
Finally, we’ll head back to Kathmandu, arriving just in time for you to spend a free evening exploring.
Day 5 : Chitwan National Park
Location: Chitwan National Park
Accommodation: Hostel
It’s a bright and early start today as we head off to a truly incredible part of our Nepal adventure tour: Chitwan! We’ll stop for breakfast en route, arriving around midday. After a brief stop for lunch, we’re taking you to one of the most unmissable things you can do in this spectacular country: a jeep safari!
You’ll see wildlife like deer, monkeys & rhinos – and if you’re lucky, you might catch a glimpse of a sloth, a tiger, or a leopard! We’ll end up by the river, where we’ll jump on a canoe to take in the sights from the water, before enjoying a cup of coffee as we watch the sunset.
Then, this evening, we’ll take you to watch the Tharu Cultural Show, which features traditional Nepalese songs and dances.
Day 6 : Lumbini
Location: Lumbini
Accommodation: Hostel
This morning, we transfer to the next stop on our Nepal adventure tour… Lumbini!
We’ll arrive in the early afternoon, with enough time for you to grab yourself some lunch before we head off on our next unmissable activity – a tour of the city’s incredible temples!
For the rest of the day, you’ll explore the Maya Devi Temple (the birthplace of Buddha), where you’ll have a chance to meditate in the Ashok part of the temple grounds. You’ll also visit temples built by Buddhist communities from other countries, like Cambodia and Germany.
Day 7 : Pokhara
Location: Pokhara
Accommodation: Hostel
This morning we’re on to one of Nepal’s most iconic cities – Pokhara!
Arriving in the early afternoon, you’ve got some free time to acclimatise before we reconvene to head off to our next unmissable activity – a momo making class! Here, you’ll learn all about the traditions of Nepalese cuisine – and get a chance to try them too!
Day 8 : Pokhara
Location: Pokhara
Accommodation: Hostel
Today, you have a free day to explore Pokhara at your own leisure. You might want a slightly most restful start to the day, followed by some local sightseeing or a relax by the lakeside. You might even pay a visit to the city’s Mountain Museum! However, if you’d like to raise your pulse a little, you might opt to try:
- The Kushma bungee jump – the second highest in the world!
- Paragliding – where you can soar above the area for some truly remarkable views.
We’ll gather in the mid-afternoon, though, as it’s off to another unmissable experience. We’ll head down to the Phewa Taal lake where we’ll get a chance to boat across the crystalline surface.
In the evening, you can opt to join your group for a movie night at the Movie Garden nearby.
Day 9 : Poon Hill Trekking Or Yoga Experience
Location: Poon Hill
Accommodation: Hostel
For the next three days, you can either join us for an unmissable trekking experience over the Poon Hill region, or opt to stay in Pokhara for 3-day yoga retreat. (Note: there is a surcharge for the yoga experience.)
If you choose to stay for the yoga experience, you can expect three days of restorative yoga practices, dance classes, tea ceremonies, candlelight meditations, and nature walks – interspersed with some leisure time for you to spend how you see fit.
However, if you’re joining us for the trek, get ready for one of the most amazing hikes of your life! You’ll leave Pokhara bound for the Himalayas, ready to start a beautiful exploration of Nepal’s natural world.
On Day 1, you’ll head from Pokhara into the Himalayas, where you’ll then hike a largely uphill 2-3 hour hike through the jungle to Ghorepani village. Arriving in the evening, you’ll stay in a local guesthouse for dinner and amazing sunset views.
Day 10 : Poon Hill Trekking Or Yoga Experience
Location: Poon Hill
Accommodation: Hostel
On Day 2, you can opt to wake early to take a 1-hour hike to Poon Hill to watch the sunrise. Back at base, you’ll leave in the morning to hike for around 6 hours. This is a mixture of up and downhill (though more down than up!), and you’ll break at midday for a lunch stop. In the late afternoon, you’ll arrive in Tadapani village for dinner and even more spectacular views.
Day 11 : Poon Hill Trekking Or Yoga Experience
Location: Poon Hill
Accommodation: Hostel
On Day 3, you’ll set off after breakfast for a 3-hour trek through local villages and jungles on your final hike of the experience. It’s a mostly flat path this time, and after arriving at your end-point you’ll transfer privately back to Pokhara city, arriving in the mid-afternoon. Once you’re back in the city, you’ll have a free afternoon and evening to spend as you see fit – you might want to grab a foot massage!
Day 12 : Bandipur
Location: Bandipur
Accommodation: Hostel
This morning, we’re up early to transfer to our final overnight stay of the Nepal group tour – Bandipur! Arriving around lunch time, you’ll enjoy a walk with your group through this stunningly preserved town, soaking up all the charm it has to offer.
In the evening, you and your group can opt to head into the town together to try some of the local cuisine!
Day 13 : Farewell!
Location: Kathmandu
We’re saying goodbye to you today – but not before we squeeze in one final white water rafting experience in Fissling! We’ll transfer to arrive at around lunchtime, where we’ll spend a couple of hours having a rip-roaring boating experience.
After this, we’ll transfer back to Kathmandu – where your Nepal adventure tour comes to an end!
