Tour Overview
Walking the Rota Vicentina is an exciting and exquisite way to visit Portugal. It’s a 400km colossal web of natural trails, in two sections: the Historical Way and the Fishermen’s Trail. This 14 day route dips in and out of both. It starts inland at the medieval town of Santiago do Cacém up north in Alentejo and finishes at Cabo de São Vicente, the most south-western point of continental Europe in the Algarve. Accommodation is in small, traditional hotels or guesthouses, low key and locally-owned, all contributing to the trail's vital sustainable tourism model
