Roger was a fabulous tour guide

Aug 2023

. He is immensely passionate about his country’s heritage and culture and created a very immersive experience for our group. Having lots of knowledge about his local area, he added unique insights into Cusco and endeavored to help us with any activity we requested during our free time. Roger bolstered our groups tight bond and created a very comfortable environment for all, especially given this was my first TruTravels tour. Would definitely recommend! Lucy - Aug 2023

His positive approach to life and his easygoing demeanour meant that it was a pleasure to spend 10 days in his company! The passion that Roger has for his country is infectious- he is full of knowledge and is a natural story teller! Roger had so many great recommendations and took us to most amazing local restaurants and coffee shops. Cusco tru travel experience

Sep 2023

This trip was INCREDIBLE! All the guides and drivers were brilliant. Couldn't fault them at all. Roger was our main guide for the whole 10 days, he became like a brother to us, great company, full of knowledge and advice. Rive was our guide with Roger on the Inca trail to Machu Picchu and Rainbow trek mountain, he was also brilliant - nothing was too much for him! Again full of knowledge, great sence of humour and helpful. We all had a great time together. Roger and Rive had brilliant team work, I really enjoyed my days with them. From the pottery to mountain biking, those days were equally incredible. Again Fredy and his family from pottery were so friendly and helpful, the younger lady from quenchua was lovely and great sence of humour and Jimmy for the mountain biking was the same, they were all fantastic. Very helpful, full of knowledge and funny. I would recommend this trip to anybody who wants to experience Peru and learn about the country. You will have the best time and memories you can treasure forever. Becky - Sep 2023

Peru with Roger

Oct 2023

Thank you to our guide Roger for guiding us through our Peru adventure with TruTravels. From taking us to the best restaurants, guiding us around Inca sites and showing us the best activities in Peru. No problem was too small for Roger to help with and he was genuinely caring when members of the group became ill and went above and beyond to take care of them. I would definitely recommend TruTravels, especially a tour with Roger. Laura - Oct 2023

Peru trip with our guide Roger

Oct 2023

Recently returned from Peru with Roger as our guide. Had the best trip. Roger is an incredibly informative and entertaining guide. Rivelino and another Roger also accompanied on the Inca hike and rainbow mountain both also very knowledgeable and entertaining. The itinerary was great inclusive of adrenaline fuelled mountain biking and hikes to learning about local cultures through potter and weaving. The local delicacies were delicious in tasting alpaca and Guinea pig. Could not have asked for a better tour group or guides thank you all. Sam - Oct 2023

Amazing tour!

Sep 2023

I really enjoyed Tru travels due to them looking after the planet and locals, by planting trees and using local guides. All the guides I had were amazing, Roger, Rivelino and Fredy. Nearly all the activities are already included which I love so you don’t need to worry about lots of extra large costs! The trip is well thought out to help with altitude sickness and ensure we get the most out of Peru in such a short period of time without being rushed. Thankyou so much for teaching me lots and would highly recommend! Louise - Sep 2023

Peru October 2023

Oct 2023

I had an amazing time on this tour (October 2023)! The itinerary was really well paced - the one day hike on the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu was an obvious highlight but the mountain biking day was also a real highlight! There is flexibility on the Cusco days to take it slower if you want to. All the guides (Roger, Rivelino and Roger and the guys running the mountain biking day) were great and really looked after us the whole time. Having local guides was the best way to learn about the culture. I would definitely recommend this trip!! Frances Eagle - Oct 2023

Peru experience

Sep 2023

Roger was a great guide and you can tell he is passionate about his country and his story telling of the history is amazing. He was knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. Taking us to the Sacsayhuamán site was a great experience and you got beautiful views over Cusco The tour was constructed well and have the days before to climitise to the altitude definitely helped. It's hard to pick out something as the whole trip was amazing. From making our own pottery with Fredy and the learning about the process to being shown how the local ladies dye and weave the Alpaca wool. Being able to support the local communities, even in a small way is a great feeling. The salt mines and mountain biking with Jimmy also an experience I won't forget. How many people can say they have mountain biked in the Andes and the views were incredible. He briefed the activity well so we knew what to expect and the provided safety equipment which Is 100% needed. The village and inca site of Ollantaytambo is beautiful and the day spent exploring the 2 Inca sites Ollantaytambo and Pinkuylluna give great views and are a great warm up for the next day. We were gifted with fantastic weather for the Inca train, cloudy with a drizzle of rain. Which is exactly what we wanted and blue skies at the end. Our guide Rivelino was fantastic. Set a good pace and was very knowledgeable about the sites that we passed along the way. Machu Picchu itself was incredible something I have wanted to do for such a long time and the one day trek for me was just what I wanted as I got to do plenty other things on the tour. The tour of Machu Picchu itself was incredible learning about inca site itself. Rainbow quite literally breathtaking but was an experience again you can't get anywhere and the feeling of achievement at the end is great. This is my 5th tour with TruTravels and I can hands down say its been my favourite. The activities and itinerary action packed. I'd like to thank Roger my guide for the week for giving me the best experience In Peru we are now truly family. Both Roger and Rivilino together made this the most memorable experience of my life so far and something I won't forget. Thank you 😊 Alisha - Sep 2023

Ultimate Peru Tour - TruTravels

Aug 2023

I had an incredible experience with our tour guide, Roger during our recent trip. Not only did he impart his extensive knowledge about the local Peruvian culture, but he also fostered a sense of unity among us, making us feel like one big family. His efforts to immerse us in the Peruvian culture went far beyond the ordinary, and it's clear that he went the extra mile to ensure our experience was exceptional. This being my first tour with TruTravels, his dedication has convinced me to book with them again in the future. I could not critique Roger’s performance at all. Charlotte - Aug 2023
