Day 1: Cebu

Location: Cebu

Welcome to the Philippines, it's hot, isn't it?! Get ready to meet your group of legends, including your Tru Leader! Soon you'll wonder how you explored anywhere without them. This evening we'll grab dinner and get to know each other over a Pina Colada or five.

Day 2: Moalboal

Location: Moalboal, Simala Church

Day 2 we're heading for the gorgeous seaside town of Moalboal, (pronounced mole-bowl if you were wondering). Hope you've brought your appetite as we will be having lunch with the locals - lechon style! (for those of you brave enough to try the local delicacy). Bellies full, energy buzzing and spirits high we'll make our way to the stunning Simala Church if that's what your heart desires! This place will undoubtedly end up on your Instagram being pretty much one of the most spectacular buildings you'll ever see. It's also a long-standing myth that miracles happen here, so if you're looking for next week's lottery numbers, then you're in the right place. After a walking tour, we continue into Moalboal where the afternoon is ours! Grab an iced coffee, treat yourself to a traditional Filipino massage or just check out the local town. There are real hidden gems in Moalboal, and our Travel Ninjas know them all!

Day 3: Moalboal

Location: Moalboal

Rise and shine! Grab your snorkelling gear as we head to one of The Philippines' best snorkelling spots, a rainbow of coloured corals and marine life. Swim amongst the Nemos and Dorys of the ocean and glide alongside some of the island's local turtles. There really is something magical about seeing our hard-shelled green amigos thriving in their natural habitat. *Secretly cries happy tears*. In the evening, we head out to explore the local nightlife. Practise showing off what you saw in the day through the movement of dance. You know, the classics - BIG FISH, LITTLE FISH, CARDBOARD BOX!

Day 4: Moalboal

Location: Moalboal, Boracay

An early start you'll have no trouble with as we're off canyoneering. If you haven't felt like the ultimate, cut off from the world, backpacker island babe you are yet then today is THE day. It's iconic. Whether you're an adrenaline junkie who's pure thrill for frills runs through your very veins, parkour 24/7 or if you're on a chilled out, laid back, I'm not jumping off anything sort of vibe. It's cool, we've got you. We can't promise you that you won't be nicknamed Chicken for the rest of the trip, but whatever. Like we said It's cool. Float downstream and get involved in some rock-hopping. Get the go pro ready for this one and make a splash... Once you're all splashed out with fingers shrivelled up like prunes we'll head for a late lunch, getting ready to finish the day with a lazy evening to recharge those batteries before moving on to our next destination... Boracay! Known for its famous powdery white-sand beaches and azure waters, amazing beach clubs and vibrant marine life!

Day 5: Boracay

Location: Cebu, Boracay

Ladies and gentlemen this is your captain speaking, we will shortly be arriving into paradise! Wahoooo! Today we head back to Cebu airport before catching a short one-hour flight to Caticlan and over to Boracay. Boracay has some of the world's most beautiful beaches and is known as "The party hotspot of The Philippines".We arrive early afternoon and check into our resort which will be our home for our final three nights! We’ll head out to watch the sun go down. We’ll either head to the beach with a few beers or join a boozy sunset cruise. Whatever the group fancies! Afterwards we’ll enjoy a group dinner and see where the night takes us. If flying exhausts you more than a 60-minute spin class at the gym, take the evening to chill in our resort, grab a massage and get some shut-eye. However, if you're itching to unpack those Havaianas and dance the night away, LET'S GO! Our Travel Ninjas are with you every step of the way as we head OUT OUT to Boracay’'s well known lively nightlife.

Day 6: Boracay

Location: Boracay

Today’s a lazy morning, wake up when you like and take a walk round Boracay. The morning and afternoon is free to spend as you please. Perhaps hit the beach with the TruFam, catch some rays and bury last night’s worst dancer in a 7ft hole in the ground. Or maybe check out the local shops and cafes! In the late afternoon, we meet back up for an epic activity! We’re going Paraw sailing! Never heard of it? Paraw sailing is a local sail boat activity in Boracay which uses two outriggers and two sails and calmly and gently sails you to the very best viewpoints and spots around the island. The views are out of this world. Boracay is famous for it’s sunsets and trust us, these will not disappoint. Float gently through the waves as the sky changes from warm golden oranges to magenta and lilac skies. Breathtaking. After taking enough snaps to fill a facebook photo album and mastering the art of Paraw sailing (or just enjoying the ride) we head back to the hotel, get ready and check out the best cocktail bars in town! Pass us a mojito!

Day 7: Boracay

Location: Boracay

It's our last full day together as travel amigos, comrades, BFFs some may say, or TruFam to us. So let's round off our trip together with arguably the best activity... did somebody say BOAT PARTY? We snorkel in the crystal clear waters, layout on our floaties and spend the day dreaming of our amazing trip together. After squeezing in every last minute of crucial tanning time, some lunch and many drinks later, we head back before dressing to the nines for a farewell dinner. It's our last night together, pop the champagne, order the dessert, do a shot off the waiters' body if you fancy it. Whatever helps the heartbreak of leaving, we support it. What a week!

Day 8: Boracay

Location: Boracay

It's departure day and it's time to say goodbye. You've become a part of our TruFam which means you'll forever be a part of us. That's how family works, right? How will we go on without you? We can't...so let's just say its not Au revoir, it's more Arnie with the "I'll be back". Hasta La Vista Baby.

Awesome trip, great way to...

Awesome trip, great way to see so much of Mexico in a short space of time. Top moments were the beach at Holbox, swimming in the 7 colours lagoon, experiencing the cenotes, all the guacamole, delicious breakfast recommendations, seeing Xichen Itsa and biking in Tulum. Our guide was Eve and she was THE BEST. We have done a bunch of other trips and she was by far the most personable, creative, fun, lovely person with a lot of experience and wonderful ability to share her knowledge with us. Highly recommend this trip to anyone who wants to party and catch a lot of culture all in one trip. I loved that the group was only 10 people, gave us a chance to meet everyone and there wasn’t a divide in the group nor too many people. ...more ...less

Colombia truly is a remarkable destination, offering a mix of breathtaking landscapes and vibrant cities. Our tour leader, Manu, was exceptional! His commitment to ensuring we had a fantastic experience was evident in every aspect of the trip. ...more ...less

The trip was an amazing experience and great way to meet lovely girls. Everyone on the trip was so nice and kind. Our guide Gem was so lovely and passionate. She strived to provide us with the best experience each day no matter if bumps popped up along the way. We had a great mixture of planned events and free time which allowed us to explore how we wanted to. Gem was so knowledgeable about cities and I left safe the whole time. Was a trip I will remember forever and am so glad I did it đź’› ...more ...less

Just finished the most incredible...

05-Oct-2024

Just finished the most incredible tour of Italy with Will, Maria, and David. Will was the kindest, funniest, and most amazing tour guide I’ve ever had. He was able to make every moment as fun and stress-free as possible. On the tour I enjoyed learning about the history and culture of Italy; trying different Italian food and wine, and walking to and around different historic sites. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves Italian food and culture. Can’t wait to go on my next TruTravels trip! ...more ...less

Words can not describe how...

10-Dec-2023

Words can not describe how amazing this trip was! Especially our tour guide Kevin, he is a wonderful person and made the trip even better than I could have hoped for! The best part was i decided to share this experience with my 73 year old dad, and Kevin and the rest of the group were wounderful with him, nothing was ever a problem and if there was they would go out of their way to make sure he shared the same experience as the rest of us. Especially very step stair, my heart would be in my mouth but by day two they all had a system where they would all grab an arm each and someone would stand in front just in case he slipped, it was so heartwarming to see 🥺 One morning Kevin even went out of his way to take dad on a walking tour of Hanoi but instead of walking, dad was carried on a push bike so that he didn’t miss out and then he later came to collect us and took us out on the same tour on foot. He made me and my dad feel like we weren’t a burden or anything! He was utterly amazing and I’m so thankful he was our tour guide. Thank you Kevin for being such an amazing person and going above and beyond for us. I recommend this tour to anyone! And don’t be afraid to take your mum or dad because I promise you’ll be in safe hands with Kevin 🥰 lots of love Betty Bee and Mr Tony 🖤💛 ...more ...less

I am on my final day of the 10 day Bali Experience and I honestly can’t put into words how much I’ve loved my trip. As my first time solo travelling I was a bit nervous, but this was the perfect trip. Everything about it has been amazing and the activities have exceeded my expectations. One of the best things about the trip was our tour guide - Ibing we love you soooo much. Ibing has been so kind, caring and helpful and has always gone above and beyond to make sure everyone in the group feels safe and is having a great time.
