Day 1 : Beijing Arrival (D)

Upon arrival at Beijing international Airport, our local tour guide and driver will transfer you to your hotel.In the evening, after a short tour briefing, your guide will take you out for a Welcome Dinner.

Day 2 : Beijing City Tour (B,L)

Location: Beijing

Today, you will first visit the Tiananmen Square, then followed by the magnificent Forbidden City. In the afternoon you will marvel at the incredible Temple of Heaven.Tiananmen Square is the largest city square in the world and the spiritual heart of China, where the national flag is raised exactly at sunrise every day. The Forbidden City is China's most glorious palace located at the heart of the capital city of Beijing and one of the most well-preserved heritage sites. (Note: closed on Monday)The Temple of Heaven is the most important of Beijing's imperial temples and a masterpiece of architecture and landscape design, where emperors worshiped the god of heaven and prayed for good harvests.

Day 3 : Beijing - Great Wall - Summer Palace (B,L)

Today, we will drive about 1.5 hours to visit the magnificent Great Wall (Mutianyu section with a round way cable car included). After that, you will visit the Summer Palace.Great Wall (Mutianyu Section) is the most famous symbol of China and one of the world's most remarkable architectural wonders, built over 2,000 years ago and stretches for about 6,700 KmReturn Mutianyu Cable Car is included. A chair-lift and toboggan are also available at an additional cost.The Summer Palace (including 15-minute boat ride) is located on the northwestern outskirts of the city. The Summer Palace with its perfect layout, magnificent buildings and enchanting landscape is the most splendid classical garden in China.Note: Boat ride is not available from Nov. 1st to April.1st as the lake is frozen around this time.

Day 4 : Beijing - Xain (B)

Location: Xi'an

Today you will be escorted to the train station for the fast train to Xian. Upon arrival, you will meet your guide and be transferred to the hotel. The rest of the day is free, on your own, to explore the city.

Day 5 : Xian City Tour - Terracotta Warriors (B,L)

Location: Xi'an

You will visit the incredible life-sized Terracotta Warriors in the morning. After lunch, you will visit the ancient Big Wild Goose Pagoda and City Walls.The Terracotta Warriors were discovered in 1974 by local farmers digging a well - one of the most significant archaeological finds of the 20th century. These 6,000 life-size painted terracotta warriors and horses --individually sculpted from real-life models and arranged in battle formation have been protecting the mausoleum of the first emperor in Chinese history—Emperor Qin Shi Huang since 2,200 years ago.The Big Wild Goose Pagoda is regarded by many as a symbol of the city. The pagoda was built in 652 A.D in Tang Dynasty to house the sutras brought back from India by the famous monk Xuan-zang.The Ancient City Walls are the largest and best-preserved ancient fortress in the world. It is also the thickest “wall” in the world, which you can drive a golf car, take a rickshaw and ride a bicycle on the top.

Day 6 : Xian - Chengdu (B)

Location: Chengdu

Today you will take the fast train to Chengdu.Upon arrival in Chengdu, you will be escorted to the hotel.The rest of the day is free at leisure .

Day 7 : Chenghdu City Tour - Giant Panda Breeding Research Base (B,L)

Location: Chengdu

Today, you will visit the Chengdu Research Base of the Giant Panda Breeding program, followed by a trip to the Wenshu Temple where you can spend some time sitting in its tea house enjoying a cup of traditional Chinese tea and absorb the special atmosphere of Chengdu and Jinli Old Street. Giant Panda Breeding Research Base: Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, or simply Chengdu Panda Base, is a non-profit research and breeding facility for giant pandas and other rare animals. Wenshu Temple is Chengdu's oldest and largest Buddhist temple. Absorb the tranquil atmosphere of Chengdu  Visit an authentic tea house (Chadian) and experience this unique cultural practice of the Chinese peopleVisit the Jinli Old Street, constructed in 2004 and a replica to the traditional architectural style of Sichuan Province during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). A great place to fully appreciate Sichuan’s customs and folk arts.

Day 8 : Chengdu - Guilin (B)

Today, take a short domestic flight to Guilin.Our guide and vehicle will transfer you to your hotel.On arrival, enjoy the rest of your day at leisure.

Day 9 : Guilin - Longsheng Town - Guilin (B,L)

Location: Longsheng County

Today you will be driven to Longsheng (about 1.5-2 hours' drive from Guilin), famous for the Terraced Rice Fields (also called as Longji or dragon's backbone). As well as a view the breath-taking scenery, you will see the ethnic minority villages. After the tour, you will be driven back to Guilin.Longsheng Rice Terraces (Longji) is a minority area of Zhuang and Yao ethnic groups, where you can not only view the charming scenery of terrace rice field, but also get a chance to learn about the minority people’s daily life and their special architecture in the rural areas.NOTE: Some trekking is required today (40-minute each way), so sports shoes and comfortable clothes are recommended. Options: Porters fee is around 50 Yuan for each piece of luggage each way. Sedan chair (made by bamboo) is also available at additional cost.

Day 10 : Guilin - Yangshuo (B)

Location: Yangshuo

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the pier (1-hour drive) to start your boat cruise on the picturesque Li River down to Yangshuo (approximately 3.5 hours cruiseOn arrival in Yangshuo, you will disembark the boat and take an open-air mini bus to the hotel. After checking into the hotel, you will be free to explore Yangshuo and its famous West Street.Li River Cruise: By taking the cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo, you will be inspired by breathtaking views of peaks and pinnacles, crystal-clear water and reflections in the water together with the serene pastoral countryside view. The cruise usually takes around 3.5 to 4.5 hours, depending on the water conditions. West Street is a busy and exotic slate street in Yangshuo County, about 2km long crammed with shops, pubs, cafés and hotels, where you can relax and do some souvenir shopping.Note: This is a join-in cruise by boat which can accommodate around 150 people, with simple buffet lunch. We recommend having a big breakfast at the hotel and then have lunch on arrival in Yangsuo

Day 11 : Yangshuo - Guilin - Shanghai (B)

Day 12 : Shanghai City Tour (B,L)

After breakfast, you will visit the Shanghai Museum, Yu Garden, Yu Market, the Bund and then enjoy a bird's eye view of modern Shanghai from the Shanghai World Financial Center.Shanghai Museum (with museum-provided audio) is the largest museum in China with a fine collection of over 120,000 pieces of Chinese artifacts and is considered the best museum in China Yu Garden is located in the Old Town of Shanghai and laid out in 1559 AD by a powerful Ming official, Yu Garden recreates a beautiful landscape of pagodas, pavilions, rockeries, fountains, ancient trees and precious flowers. Outside of the Yu Garden, a bustling Yuyuan Market has different snacks and trinkets.The Bund is where the great trading houses and banks had their headquarters in 1920s and 1930s, about a mile long, it is the city's fulcrum.Shanghai World Financial Centre is one of the top high skyscrapers in the world. It has 101 floors and 1614 feet above the ground.

Day 13 : Shanghai - Suzhou - Shangai (B,L,D)

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Suzhou (1.5-hour drive). While in Suzhou, you will visit the Humble Administrator's Garden, Lingering Garden, Old town tour with Rickshaw, Suzhou canal tour with hand-rowed boat (about 40 minutes), and return to Shanghai.Humble Administrator's Garden is the best representative of Chinese classical gardens in the Ming dynasty. Focused on a central pond with pavilions, terraces, chambers, and towers located nearby, the garden is divided into three parts: the eastern, middle and western parts.Lingering Garden is an elaborate succession of small gardens. Lingering in the garden you will marvel at its unique architecture and art.On your ​Old town tour by rickshaw, through the old town of Suzhou, you will see the small Hutongs, the open markets and the local people's life.In the evening, enjoy a special Farewell Dinner.

Day 14 : Shanghai Departure (B)
