Gokyo & Everest Base Camp Trek

Upon arriving at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. From here you will be taken in a private vehicle to your hotel by Uma holidays Travels & Tours representative where you can rest or take a short walk around the Thamel area.

Today, early in the morning, we will pick you from your hotel and drive you to the Tribhuvan Domestic Airport in Kathmandu. A quick, 35-minute flight from Kathmandu will take you to Lukla (2,804m), the gateway to the Everest Base Camp, and the starting point of this trek. Walking through the Dudhkoshi River Valley, past various settlements such as Chheplung and Chaurikharka, before reaching Phakding Village. Enjoy great views of the mountains during the trek. It's a leisurely day with a gradual descend of approximately 200 meters from Lukla. Overnight stay at Teahouse.

After breakfast, we will follow the trail of the thundering Dudh Kosi River, cross numerous suspension bridges along the way. Trek past Monjo and Jorsalle villages until we reach Namche Bazaar (3,440m), a village in the mountains that is also the center of commerce in the Everest region. overnight stay at the Guesthouse.

Today we have a rest day in Namche and allow your body to acclimatize to the high altitude. You have the option to hike to the nearby areas. The trading and administrative center of the Khumbu region, Namche Bazaar is home to various government offices, banks, ATm, cyber, plenty of shops and eateries. One of the most interesting optional day hikes on our list is the one that takes you to Everest View Hotel, from where you can enjoy magnificent views of Mount Everest and other Himalaya peaks, After enjoying some time at the viewpoint we trek down to Namche Bazaar for overnight stay.

from Namche, we will following the trail that enables us to see and capture some of the rare and spectacular views around. The view of great peaks at Shanasa may overwhelm you. The trail soon will take us through the right side of Mongla hill, and we reach Phortse Thanga. We will have our lunch here. A few hours trek will take us down to Dole, the place We will be staying tonight.

from Dole, we will climb up towards Machharmo. On the way, we will pass some quiet cold, pristine brooks, and wild forest. Since we will be reaching towards higher altitude, we will see great views of greater magnitude and grandeur. Here at Dole, We can also visit the Himalayan Rescue Association. We will have a very pleasant stay Machhermo at a local teahouse.

After having breakfast, we start our trek to Gokyo Valley. Gokyo lies at an amazing altitude of 4,800m. This little town on the base of Gokyo Ri Peak is home to several indigenous people. Before reaching Gokyo, we walk along 3 lakes namely Longpongo, Raboche Tsho, and Dudh Pokhari. Considering its height, it is definitely one of the most beautiful spots for human settlement on the earth. We will spend our night at Gokyo Valley.

Today, Early in the morning, we will conquer 5463m high Gokyo Ri from where we can view outstanding Mt.Everest, Cho Oyu, Lhotse, Makalu among others. we will trek back to Gokyo and have breakfast. After having breakfast we trek to Thagnag for overnight stay.

Today is One of the most challenging trekking days of the entire Everest Base Camp Trek via Gokyo Lake. We start to trek along the rocky trails and glacial moraines to the top of the pass. The 300m up to the pass is a technical walk. Fours of a walk uphill to the top of Cho La Pass 5,420m rewards us with the superb views of Cho La Lake and Mt. Cholatse. Then after we descend from the pass along the slippery icy trails and glaciers followed by an hour pleasant walk brings us to Zonglha. Overnight stay at the teahouse.

After having breakfast at the lodge, an easy downhill for a while and a few up and down walking brings us to Lobuche. overnight stay at the teahouse.

Today, The first part of the trail will take you to Gorakshep via the Khumbu Glacier. Drop your bags and enjoy your lunch in Gorakshep before heading to Mt. Everest Base Camp (5,364m). The trail takes you through terrain strewn with rocks, moraines, streams, and a glacier. Arrive Everest Base Camp, located in the middle of the Khumbu Glacier we will spend some time at Base Camp and trek back to Gorakshep for an overnight stay. If the weather is good, we will hike up to Kala Patthar late in the afternoon to enjoy the sunset views. But it's not easy to cover Gorakshep, Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar on the same day. Overnight stay at Teahouse.

From Gorakshep, early in the morning we hike up to Kala Patthar this famous landmark located above Gorakshep and enjoy amazing views of the mountains shining in the color of the morning sun. the view from on top of Mt. Kalapathar certainly makes up for it. You will stand in awe at the mountains that ring you in all directions. We will definitely take the time to take pictures up here. Set your camera on panorama mode and shoot the most amazing pictures you have ever taken! We will spend some time there before descending to Gorakshep. Grab your breakfast and start your trek downhill journey to Pangboche. Stay overnight at Teahouse.

After breakfast, Continue our journey downhill. Cross the Dudh Kosi River and make a steep climb to Kyanjuma. From this point on, the path is largely flat or downhill until you reach the headquarters of Sagarmatha National Park just above the Namche Bazar. We spend our night at Namche Bazaar.

Today is a long day on a downhill trail awaits you. The last day of Gokyo & EBC trek is full of steep descends along the Dudh Kosi River until you reach Phakding village for lunch. From Phakding, then we climb up to reach Lukla for overnight stay.

Today we will catch an early morning flight to Kathmandu. Upon arriving in Kathmandu, transfer to your hotel. Uma holiday travels & Tours representative will accompany you for a complimentary farewell dinner provided by the company in the evening. This is the end of our services. Overnight stay at Hotel.
