Day 1 : Arrival at Kathmandu

On the day of arrival at Kathmandu airport, our UncleSam Holidays representative will assist you at the airport and later transfer to your pre-booked hotel for night stay.

Day 2 : At Kathmandu

Today morning after breakfast at hotel, later proceed for full day guided tour around Kathmandu valley, visit sacred Pashupatinath Temple, Swyambhunath - very ancient and essentially enlisted in UNESCO World Heritage sites. Also visit the biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhanath, Kathmandu Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square. Also enjoy the evening Aarti ceremony which is performed at Pashupatinath Temple, a famous hindu temple situated on the banks of Bagmati river. Also walk to the nearby streets, explore local market, talk to locals and taste street food, etc.

Day 3 : Kathmandu - Paro (By Flight) - Thimphu (50 Kms / 1.30 Hrs)

Today morning after breakfast at hotel, later check out and transfer to Kathmandu airport to board the flight for Paro. Day 4 : At Thimphu

Today morning after breakfast at hotel, later proceed for full day guided tour to Thimphu, visit National Memorial Chorten (built in memory of the third King of Bhutan who reigned from 1952-1972), Buddha Dordenma, Tashichho Dzong, BBS Tower, Government Run Handicraft Emporium, Folk Heritage Museum, National Textile Museums, National Institute of Traditional Medicine (out side view) and Zoo. However, some of the landmarks are closed in the weekends (Saturdays and Sundays).

Day 5 : Thimphu - Punakha (75 Kms / 2.30 Hrs)

Day 6 : At Punakha

Today morning after breakfast at hotel, later proceed for full day guided tour to Punakha, visit Punakha Dzong and Lingkana Palace, was strategically built at the confluence of the Pho Chu (male) and Mo Chu (female) rivers by the first Shabdrung of Bhutan, Ngawang Namgyel in 1637. Also visit Talo monastery and Nalanda Buddhist Institute to meet with the Buddhist monks and enjoy the fantastic views of the surrounding mountains.

After finish your guided tour to Punakha, later free for shopping or drive back to your hotel for night stay.

Day 7 : Punakha - Wangdue Phodrang - Paro (130 Kms / 4 Hrs)

Today morning after breakfast at hotel, later check out and drive to Paro, via en-route visit to Wangdue Phodrang, visit Wangdue Dzong and the local market.

After finish your visit to Wangdue Phodrang, later continue drive to Paro, via en-route visit to Druk Wangyel Monastery, Dochula Chorten and and Simtokha Dzong. Upon arrival at Paro check-in to your pre-booked hotel for night stay. Rest of the day free for your own leisure activities.

Day 8 : At Paro

Today morning after breakfast at hotel, later proceed for full day guided tour to Paro, visit the National Museum (Ta Dzong) followed by a leisurely walk to visit Rinpung Dzong. Also visit the Drukgyel Dzong, the ruined fortress where Bhutanese deterred several invasions by Tibetan army. Also visit the famous Paro Taktsang a sacred Vajrayana Himalayan Buddhist site located in the cliffside of the upper Paro valley in Bhutan. Evening, pay a visit to the Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred shrines in Bhutan.

Day 9 : Paro - Kathmandu (By Flight)

    We select our hotels for their quality, impeccable service and comfort, with the majority of them having air-conditioning. Few hotels don't have air conditioning due to the colder climate.

  • How much luggage can I bring?

    You can bring one suitcase per person and weight not exceeding 23 kg (50 lbs) due to the limited space on the coach. You can also bring one piece of hand luggage, provided it is small enough to take on the coach and does not have telescopic handles.

  • Are the travel guides experience?

    Our Travel Guides come from a variety of backgrounds but they all share a passion for travel. These experienced professionals show you what the guidebooks can’t – a true insider’s perspective of each destination. Each Travel Guide have at least five years’ experience under their belt.

  • What if I have special dietary requirements?

    We can accommodate guests who are vegetarian and can assist with diabetic, gluten-free and other medically-recommended diets. Please advise us at time of booking. Unfortunately, we’re unable to supply meals in accordance with strict religious requirements. We can’t provide salt-free, Kosher, Halal, requests for specific dietary supplements such as soya milk, and high protein or low-carb meals.

  • Will I need a visa?

    You are responsible for obtaining all necessary visas prior to the departure of your guided holiday. Depending on your nationality, you may need visas to enter certain countries included on your trip. Please note that obtaining visas can take up to six weeks prior to your departure. It is strongly advised that you consult your Travel Agent and the local Consulate or Embassy of the country you are visiting well in advance to determine which visas they require and how to obtain them.

  • Do I need travel insurance?

    We strongly recommend that all guests have a travel insurance policy to ensure your peace of mind before and while travelling. It's important that you protect yourself in case of trip cancellations, an interruption for any reason, baggage delays or loss of baggage and medical expenses.
