Tour Overview
Trek & Climb: Glacier Velo de la Novia. Nestled in the mountain range just behind Urubamba the snow-capped glacier Velo de la Novia is one of the prominent glaciers of the Urubamba mountain range; located to the north-east of the City of Cusco. Leaving from Cusco; in private transportation early in the morning with our crew, we’ll drive for 2hrs in a northerly direction into the Sacred Valley. Following our arrival we’ll take our time to check all of our equipment for the climb at the start point in San Isidro. In the Peruvian Andes, there are a wide variety of peaks that require a good level of technique, and experience. The glacier Velo de la Novia is a great introduction to glacial climbing, it is quite a flat climb with good compact snow that make it a great first experience to this discipline. ...more ...less
