Trek & Climb: Ojos del Salado – 10-12 Days
Trek & Climb: Ojos del Salado – 10-12 Days
Tour Overview
Adventure to the highest altitude active volcano (Ojos del Salado) in the world & the second highest peak in the Andes! This is a great introduction to serious trekking and climbing for beginners & intermediates to the discipline of mountain climbing & trekking. Sited on the Argentinian & Chilean border: Nevado Ojos del Salado stands at a proud 6,893m altitude; the trekking and altitude provide the real challenge on this expedition with a small section of rock climbing at the summit of the route. Although Ojos del Salado presides on the edges of the Atacama Desert; a very dry region; it is still famed for having the world’s highest crater lake on the eastern side of the volcano, situated at 6,390m. ...more ...less
