Grading

GRADE 3 - This is an e-bike tour. For cyclists using road or gravel bikes, we recommend that you are fit and comfortably able to cycle around 20kmph on the flat and 10kmph on the ascents. If you are unsure we recommend an e-bike.
Even for e-bikers, the trip requires a good level of fitness from participants to fully participate in the cycling, which you should have acquired from steady cycling. The tours take you up to a height of between 200 and 500m/656 and 1640ft above sea-level. The daily tours from 20 to 48km/12.5 to 30mi lead you through hilly and mountainous terrain and will be completed without any time-constraints. Participants also need to master long and/or steep climbs. We will traverse mostly asphalted roads, which are rarely travelled on outside of the holiday seasons.
You are free to set aside a half or full day to swim or spend on board the boat, instead of taking a planned bike-tour. Each day you can either decide to bike alone, using the information and maps provided, or join the tour guides. It is considered suitable for fit beginners and active children (minimum height 1.5m/5ft for e-bike). *For safety reasons, we insist that cycle helmets be included as a compulsory item on your equipment list.

What You Carry

During the day you will carry your daily requirements in the pannier provided with the bike. This may include your lunch, wet weather gear, mobile phone and water. A small daypack which can be kept inside the pannier is useful for sightseeing.

North Dalmatia Bike & Boat - Deluxe

30 Oct 2019

What surprised us most about our first trip to Croatia wasn’t the spectacular scenery, nor the crystal-clear sea, nor the well-preserved historical buildings – but the friendliness of the people. During our 10-day stay, everyone we dealt with was kind and helpful. It is so refreshing to visit a country that is not fed up with its tourists (yet). The bikes were of good quality and generally well-maintained. It was very thoughtful of the captain to turn the ship around each day so that all of the cabins got an equal share of sun. Our cruise was perfect, in large part thanks to our guides.

We had an awesome Sail and Bike adventure on the north Dalmatian coast of Croatia. The entire crew on the boat worked incredibly hard to maintain the boat, prepare our meals and beverages, and navigate us safely from port to port. Our guides were very capable, knowledgeable and engaging and the eBikes we used worthy of the hills we encountered. We would definitely recommend this trip.

The trip was fantastic in many ways. The boat was very comfortable, the food was wonderful and the guides and boat staff worked very hard and made the trip a great experience. We had several days of rain and the staff did a great job at coming up with alternative activities.

Disappointed with the quality of our (below deck cabin) - damp and mould issues. But great staff, good food onboard, good rental bike, good rides and Istria is a really interesting place to visit.

Very personable and always available to help us out and answer questions. The islands we visited were beautiful and the three city guides we had in Zadar, Sibenik and Trogir were excellent!
