We loved the Salzburg to Vienna trip! Though hilly, the journey from Salzburg to Linz was particularly pretty and interesting. The team at UTracks gave us all the support and resources we needed for the self-guided trip. Would recommend!

The Salzburg to Austria ride was great. The route averaged nearly 70km per day, which is more than 'advertised'. We were in the minority being on non-ebikes. The bikes provided where perfectly functional, but solid / heavy. The logistics worked well... all hotels and luggage transfers where great. Some of the half-board dinners where pretty basic, but some others where terrific. The scenery is the highlight... and that is why we where there... and it didn't let us down.... just magnificent! ...more ...less

Salzburg to Vienna Cycle

25 Oct 2019

The ride from Salzburg to Linz is very picturesque with lakes, mountains, forests and attractive villages on mostly paved paths. The section along the Danube has some wider, flatter river views, but also travels away from the river through lovely areas such as the Wachau Valley. The accommodation was good and luggage transfer efficient. ...more ...less

A very interesting 6 day trip down the Danube. Very easy cycling (apart from one day). Journey takes you through a good mix of towns, villages, country side and forest while basically following the river.

Our trip started off rough. Our bikes were located at a different hotel than our reservations, so our map did not show the appropriate start site. Historic rainfall in the Salzburg area caused severe flooding of our mapped out self guided bike routes.
