Our "Villages of Istria" Walk with UTracks was exceptional. We were picked up on time in the mornings and transported to our hiking start point. The drivers had wonderful local recommendations and were professional and polite. The trip was as advertised and communication was clear during the lead up to the trip. Villages of Istria Walk

04 May 2022

Allie at UTracks was a great help in organising this trip just as Covid restrictions were changing here, there and everywhere. We were well prepared for our international flight & arrival into Croatia. Her own travel experience was appreciated as she could recommend bus companies and suggest ways of getting to our village starting point. The Villages of Istria walk was a joy. The local team were great, picking us up promptly each morning to take us to our starting point, and being friendly and knowledgeable. They even phoned us on route one day just to see that all was going well. The route notes worked well, and even though the accompanying app strangely didn’t work as it should have, we had total confidence in the track notes provided & barely out a foot wrong. We particularly liked that we had 2 night stays in 2 different villages, so not always packing & unpacking, plus a loop walk in the middle gave the option of a rest day if needed. It wasn’t always easy for ageing bodies - particularly the 900m descent into Lovran on rocky, narrow tracks. But not impossible, and a steaming bath at our destination was wonderful. Now, where to next with UTracks? ...more ...less

The team had great walk co-ordinates - picked us up each morning dead on the dot, answered questions happily & best of all their route notes were excellent. Nice balanced walk too - had a day loop walk in the middle you could avoid if needing a break, plus two nights at two hotels so not always packing & unpacking. A manageable walk through gorgeous countryside even for our ageing bodies! ...more ...less
