Welcome to the land of Glaciers! Today we will pick you up at your hotel in El Calafate to start our way to El Chalten. The tour lasts three hours, through which Lake Argentino and Lake Viedma Glacier are the main protagonists. From the beginning of our trip we will see the Cerro Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre, the flora, the fauna, the hydrography and the geography of a unique place in the world. At the Parador La Leona we will have 15 minutes to visit the museum, the cafeteria, and the facilities of the property where the Expert Francisco Moreno was attacked by a cougar that almost took his life.

At 10:15 am we will meet at our offices to receive the provided equipment. We start from El Chaltén traveling the 12 km that separate us from El Pilar following the Río de las Vueltas. During the tour, important information about the area is transmitted and descents are made at panoramic points. Once at the entrance of El Pilar, we will start walking for 17 km in total, bordering the Blanco River where after an hour and crossing beautiful forests of Lengas and Ñires we Piedras Blancas viewpoint from where we will be able to see a frontal view of the glacier. Continuing along the trail we will reach the Poincenot area with a unique view of the glacier.
There begins the ascent of about 300 meters that in 90 minutes allows us to discover the Laguna de los Tres and appreciate the central wall of the hill in all its magnitude. Then the descent will begin and about 20 minutes after leaving the Poincenot area behind we will arrive at Full Camp Fitz Roy to enjoy a snack, dinner and rest.

The first hour of the morning is an unforgettable moment from where the proximity of the central wall of the hill reflecting the reddish color of the sun is usually an indelible memory. We enjoy breakfast and after that we prepare to continue our walk.
We left the Full Camp advancing along the path of the Madre and Hija lagoons that in about two hours communicate with the path to Cerro Torre, to arrive an hour later at the foot of the Torre lagoon. Surely around noon, the view of the Grande Glacier, the Solo hill, the Torre, Eger and Stanhard needles are the right setting to enjoy our lunch.
From there, always accompanying the course of the Fitz Roy River, we descend until we arrive in about 3 hours at the town of El Chalten. But if, after breakfast, someone prefers to stay and enjoy the area, they can do so without problems, and around noon return along the Capri lagoon trail and the Matzen ranch viewpoint, reaching El Chalten in approximately three hours.
